We have enjoyed living at Fairways of Ironhorse the past 3 years. Our greatest concern is the residents that are coming in should be in an assisted living facility and not a senior living facility. It can make a person depressed not having residents you enjoy. This needs to be corrected.

Fairways of Ironhorse helped make moving my in-laws from their home of 42 years in Austin, Texas so easy! We adore the staff. Servers are the sweetest kids and genuinely love the residents. Restaurant style meals are delicious. Apartments are a great size and in unit washer/dryer a plus. Richard does maintenance and is so great to work with and so patient! It is really like being at a resort! Thank you, thank you, thank you Sheila for helping us get in so quickly!

Buyer beware! This place is a pretty face that has turned into a disaster. The biggest downside (one among many) is the utter lack of skilled management. They are the personification of the keystone cops. What began as a superior facility with great promise has steadily gone to pot.<br><br>In truth, the building was poorly constructed (it never was designed for seniors in mind) and is falling apart piece by piece. Most recently, the facility caught fire, causing significant damage to many units, and “management” refused to accept any responsibility. This necessitated Those adversely affected to move at their own expense.<br><br>Of course, no potential resident is told about any of the downsides (a clear violation of the law...According to Kansas Law 58-2540—Kansas Residential Landlord & Tenant Act—compliance with the requirement to disclose, before occupancy, may have been violated: “Non-disclosure violations in a contract claim refers to the failure of one party (e.g., Landlord) to a contract to disclose facts that have a bearing on the contract to the other party (e.g., prospective tenants).”<br><br>Stay away!!!

This community is different from many of the others that claim to be independent living in Johnson County. I have been looking for options for my parents and I was intrigued by this idea of a smaller community setting. I loved the concept behind the dining program, and the amenities that come along with living there. I also love that it is a pet friendly community and was lucky enough to meet 2 of the residents walking their dogs, a gentleman coming back from the putting green, and some lively folks up in the bar. The staff seemed very friendly all the residents I talked to seem to like living in a smaller place where they feel like they know everyone and the food is good. This will be top on my list to bring my mom back to.
