Had a family member stay here after being treated at Mt Auburn hospital. She speaks well of her care, food and therapy. The interior is a combination of hospital, and resort. The grounds are very beautiful

My mother has been in Meadow Green for knee replacement and shoulder replacement rehabilitation in the past. Both experiences were wonderful. Fast forward 20 years and at 93 she’s a resident. She’s been there almost two years now. I can’t say enough about the care she has received there! I’ve dealt with other nursing facilities in the past for other senior relatives and this facility goes above and beyond for their residents and their families!! Marilyn Baillargeon (Marilyn Tripp)

My mother was a resident at Meadow Green for 5 years. Until the Covid lockdown it was like she went away to College. She met a number of residents she became friendly with. They dined together and attended daily activities which she enjoyed immensely. Mom whose passion was cooking and food, rated the food as okay. Her way of saying it was good. Her nurse was Lorna and her aide was Alexandra. They were skilled, wonderful and very attentive to her.

Nightmare situation for my dad in this depressing place. He fractured his hip, has dementia and other neurological issues. He was basically left in a bed all day unless my mother insisted he be put in the wheelchair, was supposed to be taken to the toilet and was instead told to go into his adult diaper, the social worker consistently gave my mother wrong information about medicare coverage. He caught Covid there and fell under their watch, and they literally tried to send him home the same week he tested positive for covid and fell saying medicare would not cover it. My mother insisted they double check and had to reiterate several times only to find out that in fact, they would cover an additional week. Even after the extra week, we were all stunned that an 88 year old man who cannot get into or out of bed on his own, can only stand with assistance from a large man or 3 nurses, and can only walk if assisted to a walker and then only with support on two sides was unceremoniously told Medicare would no longer cover him and dumped him back home with his 90 year old handicapped wife and no support process. Every single aid who has been in to my moms home, both private and from Medicare, said that he should never have been released in this condition and that medicare would absolutely have covered the full 90 days (vs. 3 weeks), they have never seen anything like it, he should have at a minimum had a bed alarm and there is no excuse he fell under their watch, and that he clearly was not given adequate PT. The rehab acknowledged to my mom after the release that actually medicare would have covered him longer! Let me close by noting the dead rat that my mom's cab driver pointed out in the walkway of the facility and that they refused to write a prescription for a wheel chair saying he was ambulatory which is a weird fabrication considering that it takes two aids to get him to stand up and to stand on both sides of him if he is using a walker. Did they not have the staff over the holidays and need to get rid of some patients? Who knows but something needs to be done.

When my father was admitted to hospice, Amy was the head nurse on duty. She was super conscientious and supportive and her efforts on our behalf were deeply appreciated. She made a difficult time so much better. The hospital had not contacted Meadow Green, and Amy quickly sorted out my father’s situation snd his medication needs. She was an angel.
