This may be a long review, but necessary to share my gratitude to the staff at Mattison Crossing for helping us through an extremely stressful situation. My mother in law was at a senior living facility in Lakewood in Independent Living. She has dementia and almost overnight was no longer able to take care of herself. She was hospitalized and when she was ready to be released, she was unable to return to independent living. Her facility had a bed in memory care but told me it was a process and they wouldn’t be able to place her for 5-7 days. I was told things don’t happen overnight. I was told I had to hire 24 hour care until they were ready. A wonderful senior care advisor, whom I called for help, asked me to give her 5 minutes. And sure enough, 5 minutes later, Ruth from Mattison Crossing called me and told me she could help. She asked me to come down to the facility first to be sure we liked it. My husband and I went the next day and met Ruth and Giovanna. They were so caring and wonderful to us. Perfect strangers going over and above for us in an emergency situation while the facility she was in for 3 1/2 years couldn’t be bothered. We loved it and my MIL was welcomed there in less than 48 hours. Ruth was so kind and helpful to us to make this transition as easy as possible. We also met with Maria, the ED, who was also so kind and empathetic to our situation. And then there is Giovanna who is like an Angel that seems to appear every time we visit and I have questions and she always has solutions. She also visits my MIL just because which is so sweet. We met Esther, the director of Memory care who assured us my MIL would be very happy and well taken care of. And the day my MIL entered, we met Tiffany in memory care who immediately had aides come in to help her shower and dress and answered any questions we had. And then there is my MIL who every time we visit tells us she is so happy here. They get them out of their rooms everyday for activities, sitting outside in the sun, meals, and every time we are there they are passing out snacks. It is a wonderful place that I would recommend 💯 and I am so thankful and can rest easy that she is in a caring and safe environment.

I love living at Mattison Crossing. Dana just joined activities a month ago and i have lived here for years. But she has been the perfect addition. She is kind, caring, and considerate. When I was sitting in my wheelchair a little down, she came over to me and offered a massage. I went crazy with happiness and my depression disappeared. I feel if I have any problems that I need solved, I would immediately go to Dana because I know she cares. She has given us a gift.<br><br>She always is compassionate and seeks people out with empathy. She is special because she truly loved the residents. She is always trying to take care of everyone.<br>Thank you to Mattison Crossing for hiring her. Never let her go!

Mattison Crossing was recommended by someone whose father had lived there for a while and they were extremely pleased with the care he received. After visiting several facilities in the area, we decided that Mattison Crossing checked all the boxes of our desires and requirements.<br><br>The facility has been recently renovated and very well maintained. They have a calendar of activities every week and transportation to local establishments so residents have plenty to do!<br><br>Most importantly is the people that work at MC who provide a wonderful environment for the residents, giving their family’s great peace of mind. Moving anywhere is never an easy process, but the folks at MC were so accommodating and helpful. I can’t say enough about Giovanna. Her bubbly personality and compassion were paramount to helping my mom settle in. She went above and beyond nearly every day to make her feel comfortable and welcome. Not only was Giovanna there for her, but also very quickly responsive to any questions I had. She made it so easy to feel like she was a friend and not just someone who worked there. Ruth was invaluable during the entire process from the first tour to helping my mother settle in. Joe the concierge and the rest of the staff make visiting a pleasure. I’m so glad I made the decision to have my mother live at Mattison Crossing.

Five Stars — These People Are Angels<br><br>When you’re navigating one of the hardest seasons of your life, the people around you can either break you or hold you together. The staff at Mattison Crossing Senior Living did the latter — completely and unconditionally.<br><br>Ruth went above and beyond to help me find a way to afford care for my husband, who is in a wheelchair and is unable to move without assistance.She didn’t just point me toward options — she worked alongside me until we found a real solution. That kind of dedication doesn’t come from a job description. It comes from the heart.<br><br>Giovanna made my husband’s transition feel as smooth and dignified as possible. She anticipated every concern, stayed a step ahead, and made sure he was received with the care and warmth he deserves.<br><br>Then there was the moment that truly showed me who these people are. A delivery company failed us — my husband’s bed never arrived. I was panicking. Giovanna stepped in, fought with that company directly, and made sure someone went back to their warehouse that same night to get him a bed. She didn’t pass the problem off. She solved it.<br><br>The entire team — aides, nurses, maintenance — every single person carries themselves with that same spirit. They don’t just do their jobs. They show up for you.<br><br>When you’re caring for someone who is completely vulnerable, you need more than a facility — you need people who see your loved one as a person, not a patient. The staff at Mattison Crossing does exactly that. They have shown my husband genuine humanity and treated him like family.<br><br>If you are walking this road, I cannot recommend them enough. These are the angels you need by your side.
