I spent 7 weeks at The Marquis in Springfield. I received the best and compassionate care. The PT staff was very knowledgeable and careful. The nurses and aides were always cheerful and compassionate. Everyone was well trained and I always felt very safe. I would recommend this facility to my family and friends if they needed a rehab.

This place is on of those places that looks good on the outside but like a dump on the inside. My room needed to be remodeled decades ago. I sure don't know where the money goes in this place but it sure isn't for upkeep of the buildings! I wanted to get out of there as soon as I set foot in the place! They tried and tried to keep me in there! They threatened to send me home with no meds if I left, for example. I swear I was traumatized!

I can’t say enough good things about Marquis, words can not express the wonderful care. We recently moved here from Wisconsin and in November my husband had a failed spinal surgery and could not walk. When he got to Marquis he was in a Hoyer lift, the therapists here are nothing but amazing and have achieved many of the goals they set for my husband, Even though he can’t feel if he is standing they taught him how and we are hoping to be home next month. The staff treats their guests with patience, kindness, encouragement, and dignity. The CNA’s are amazing, I was going to add names but don’t want to exclude anyone. They always have a smile on their face and made us feel very cared for. Even the director of the facility will check to see if she can help if your nurse light is on. Lastly I want to thank Fay for bringing us two people games and delicious baked goods. I did learn that no one wants to be in a nursing home, but if you have to go to one, I hope you choose Marquis.

I was at Marquis for about three weeks to recover from surgery. The staff is stellar. They are attentive and very well prepared to take care of residents. If you need to go to rehab, Marquis is a good choice. Be prepared to cooperate as much as possible, my recovery had and still has some hard parts to it. They helped me get ready to go home.

I have been to the Marquis twice. The first time there was a lot of confusion the first couple days. But once settled in I found most of the staff was very attentive to my needs, the food was very good. I give a 5 star to the therapists they were all great and good at their jobs. If I need to go to a facility again I hope it is the Marquis.
