I commend the management team and care staff for handling the recent mandated evacuation due to a water main break with excellent communication, compassion for all of the residents and families and professional during a crisis situation. I was fortunate that I could care for my mom in my own home. She could not wait to get back “home.” It gave me peace of mind that mom considers Mariella of Lake Orion as her home now. She feels safe, loved and well take care of by everyone there. Thank you to the entire team for all that you do for the residents at Mariella!

Mariella of Lake Orion is a wonderful facility. As a local hospice nurse, I visit several patients there multiple times each week, and I’ve been consistently impressed since day one. The staff is always friendly, welcoming, and eager to help, creating a positive environment every time I walk through the doors. There are too many great team members to mention, but I’d like to especially recognize Cory and Jen in the memory care unit for their hard work, compassion, and excellent communication. Their dedication truly makes a difference, and it shows in the care they provide.

My mother lived here for about six months as she recovered from a brain surgery. We weren't sure if it would be a temporary stay or something longer, and the staff was very accommodating around this. Mariella was a perfect balance of independence and care for my mother. She raved about the food and knew she could always count on the staff to help her when she needed it. We also liked that it is a smaller community so that she felt like a part of a family rather than just a patient number. Everyone greeted her by name and she made several friends with the other residents. The rooms were spacious and common areas lovely and well maintained. Though she is back home again, I would definitely recommend Mariella and will keep it in mind should we need assisted living care in the future.

Our family has been very pleased with the care of my mom. The management team has been attentive to our requests especially when she recently had a set back and her care plan and medications needed adjustment. The care team is always very sweet to her. She looks forward to the live entertainment and the family parties too. Thank you, Mariella, for taking good care of our mom!
