We did due diligence on this facility and others for over 3 1/2 years and decided that this was the place. How wrong we were on every level. Signed a one year residency agreement on 11-11-25 with Mangrove Bay/Senior Living for $8395 per month and paid the $85,000 buy in fee. Come 1-1-26 they raised us 9% to $9143 per month. The contract states they can increase the monthly rate after sending a 30 day notice, which was never sent to us. We contacted management and were basically told that is the way things are and how they operate. We gave 60 days notice and demanded that our entire buy in fee be returned. We vacated on 6-16-26 without our $85,000. Story to be continued, because of the many issues that we uncovered here. There are many silent voices here with folks that are afraid to speak up against these negatives for fear of reprisal.
