I came here to visit a friend when they had their Thanksgiving meal. A staff member said that we could either get the meal served to us or we could come up and get a plate. I walked up to get a plate made up for my friend and I and three rude female employees asked me what I was doing. When I told them I was there to get a plate for my friend and myself, a VERY rude female employee starts yelling, “That is not what we are doing! Nobody said that! The reason that all of us were made to be here tonight is to serve! We never do it that way!” I was actually trying to save these girls a trip by getting up to get out plates made, but instead was treated hatefully. The employee doing the ranting should find better fitting clothes, it might help improve her mood. After dinner we watched tv in my friend’s room, which is all the way down the hall from the nurse’s station. We kept having to turn up the volume on the tv because of all of the very loud talking, laughing and complaining coming from the nurse’s station. Finally, we closed the door. Why are all of those employees just standing around being loud? I’m sure there are productive things they should be doing!

In the Lafayette community, everyone knows and loves Greg! Residents and families alike talk about how much they look forward to therapy when he’s on the schedule. His upbeat personality, patience, and genuine compassion make the rehab experience something people actually enjoy. Greg has built such strong connections that many rehab patients come back asking for him by name. They trust his expertise and appreciate how he takes the time to really listen, motivate, and tailor therapy to each person’s needs.

I've been at MCL for about 2 weeks and filed 8 grievances so far... Blood work gets lost and mislabeled. Meals aren't fit for healthy people, never mind the ill and elderly. Diabetics receive plates full of carbs, including lots of sugar and HFCS, and patients with heart issues receive canned vegetables overseasoned with salt because "old people lose their taste buds." What's more important? Taste or health? Everything is outsourced to the lowest bidder, it seems. The nursing staff has a few angels, but their hands seem to be tied to pill pushing and vitals. AC in the halls has  been broken for weeks, if not months. Overall, this place is mismanaged to an unbelievable degree. "Outside of our control" is a common phrase due to the outsourcing and apparently poorly written contracts lacking accountability. These are issues that have also been shared by many patients for quite some time in my understanding, and many grievances have been filed for the same issues already with no sustained improvement to date or in sight. This seems to be MCL'S SOP, not just a single incident or experience, as their reply may make it sound like. I am hoping to get transferred soon. Avoid at all costs.

The nurses are very caring and I guess when you get my age you gotta get used To the cuckoo's nest just kidding, but I have become healthier by being here. I've had much grace and I just appreciate it all that food needs so much work. I highly recommend them buying a mini fridge, but it is much more like family and friends than any of the other nursing home. I've been at so and it's been a beautiful neighborhood and have beautiful grounds lots of flowers. They have a gardening group anyways I was recommended just the food that's some food and everything lol

As a referral partner, I have had the pleasure of working with the Social Workers at Majestic. They have always been very professional and attentive. Liz is so sweet, friendly and welcoming as she walked me through her building. I couldn’t help but notice a lot of improvements that are being done to the building. It looks very bright and cheerful. The rooms were big, clean and spacious. The Nurses behind the desk were kind and welcoming. The therapy room looked amazing. They are doing great things there!
