My mom entered Magnolia Garden for physical therapy, but also has other issues that may end up requiring her to stay on in skilled care. I was on a trip when she entered the facility and was very stressed. I wanted to be able to go tour a place and be hands on. But due to the timing I couldn't. I talked to numerous staff while I was gone and they helped the process be as easy as it could be for me. They also accepted in my step father and helped him get used to everything. Today I got to visit my mom and she has been at MG for over a week. I got there and every person I met was so nice. My stepdad had already told me how good he felt about my mom being there. I can say I felt at peace the whole time. I don't have anything to compare it to. It's not fancy. But we don't need fancy. We need good people who enjoy their job and want to give the care to our loved ones that we can't right now. From what I saw today my mom is being looked after. She is treated with respect and she's content. I'm so happy I got to meet everyone today and I look forward to getting to know the staff better. When I can remember names I will be sure to update this and hope that my experience can help someone else when placing a loved one in a nursing facility. It's scary and leaves us vulnerable, but I left today knowing she is in great hands. I appreciate everyone there.
