My mom entered Magnolia Garden for physical therapy, but also has other issues that may end up requiring her to stay on in skilled care. I was on a trip when she entered the facility and was very stressed. I wanted to be able to go tour a place and be hands on. But due to the timing I couldn't. I talked to numerous staff while I was gone and they helped the process be as easy as it could be for me. They also accepted in my step father and helped him get used to everything. Today I got to visit my mom and she has been at MG for over a week. I got there and every person I met was so nice. My stepdad had already told me how good he felt about my mom being there. I can say I felt at peace the whole time. I don't have anything to compare it to. It's not fancy. But we don't need fancy. We need good people who enjoy their job and want to give the care to our loved ones that we can't right now. From what I saw today my mom is being looked after. She is treated with respect and she's content. I'm so happy I got to meet everyone today and I look forward to getting to know the staff better. When I can remember names I will be sure to update this and hope that my experience can help someone else when placing a loved one in a nursing facility. It's scary and leaves us vulnerable, but I left today knowing she is in great hands. I appreciate everyone there.

Staff was great with my MIL to help her recover from a broken hip. Melissa Causey was exceptional during this process and helped me/her get transitioned to an assisted living facility. Kudos to all the staff that helped with her!

There’s not enough words I can say about this facility. The staff was absolutely amazing. I had to do rehabilitation for my feet and legs. Shoulders and arms. They helped me in so many ways. And I could not have done it without them. I never would have thought that I would ever have to be placed in a facility for anything. But if you ever need to place a loved one in any facility. I highly recommend that you place them in Magnolia Garden. The staff is warm and kind And very friendly. And they treat you just like family. So being said Thank You All So Much. Sincerely Wanda Sweeney

Awesome management team. Very tentative. I spoke with a few residents and they expressed their happiness with the staff and team. Magnolia gives hope for the needed change in healthcare.

My mother has been here a few months after transferring from a sister facility in another city. She’s always clean, but there are MUCH LARGER PROBLEMS occurring. They have “lost” all of her clothing TWICE. I just took new clothing to her for Christmas, and most of it is already missing. They were ALL LABELED with her name. She has received clothing back that IS NOT hers. I live a good distance away, otherwise I would do her clothing myself. Also, a CNA slapped my mother on her body. She talked with someone in the administration, but was never given a copy of an incident report, and the CNA still works there-but in another section. I was NEVER INFORMED it happened. They have minimal activities for the residents, which is sad because the facility is fairly large and has a nice yard with benches to sit out under the beautiful trees out front. The last time I was there, several residents were asking for coffee after dinner time, including a blind gentleman who is in a wheelchair. He asked SEVERAL TIMES for a cup of coffee and was ignored every time, and all but 1 member of the staff disappeared. The others could help themselves, but I decided to get this nice man coffee (due to his impairments). A CNA came down the hallway and YELLED AT ME to not touch the coffee because the residents had to be served first. After telling her what I was doing, she rudely told me she would take care of it and to “go back to my spot” where I was visiting my mother with my family. Do you think he ever got his coffee? HA, NO! Then she continued to be mouthy from the nurses station while scrolling on her phone smacking her gum. I hate this place. I have called to speak to someone SEVERAL TIMES and have even left SEVERAL MESSAGES to receive a call back to address these issues. I HAVE NEVER RECEIVED A CALL BACK FROM ANYONE AT ANY POINT!!!! I wouldn’t wish anyone to live here, not even my worst enemy. It’s appalling in several ways, with no end of the BS in sight. HOPEFULLY THIS REVIEW REACHES SOMEONE OF AUTHORITY THERE WHO ACTUALLY CARES ABOUT THE RESIDENTS OF THE FACILITY. THEY CAN GO AHEAD AND LEAVE THEIR LITTLE GENERATED COMMENT UNDER MINE TO CONTACT SOMEONE THERE…BUT IM SURE I WILL RECEIVE THE SAME OUTCOME. I DEFINITELY WONT BE HOLDING MY BREATH.
