Old facility. Terrible cold food. Eggs are powered not freesh. Food more often than not ineatable. My friend is getting very poor care. Staff lies to cover up the fact the home does NOT have many working AC Units in the rooms. They move people and tell them and their family it's because their AC is broken. After the move someone else was put in that bed, with broken AC. My friend has said most of the staff is nice also gives high marks to the PT person.

My relative was admitted to the rehabilitation unit at Lutheran Care following a fall at home, with the goal of regaining her strength and independence. Unfortunately, during her stay, she had repeated interactions with a tech named Marsha whose behavior was consistently unprofessional and discourteous. Rather than treating patients with the compassion, patience, and respect they deserve, she often spoke to and interacted with them in a manner that felt more appropriate for a military boot camp than a rehabilitation facility. These concerns were brought directly to the attention of the unit manager. However, to my knowledge, no disciplinary action or meaningful follow up was taken. In fact, after the complaint was made, I frequently observed Marsha and the unit manager laughing and socializing together, which gave the impression that the concerns had not been taken seriously It is deeply troubling to leave a loved one in the care of individuals who are entrusted with their recovery while questioning whether they are being treated with dignity and compassion. Families place their trust in rehabilitation staff to provide a safe, supportive, and caring environment that promotes healing. When that trust is undermined, it creates significant anxiety and concern Lutheran Care was once regarded as a five star facility, making this experience especially disappointing. It raises important questions about the hiring process, staff oversight, and accountability. Are appropriate background checks and evaluations being conducted? More importantly, are staff members being held accountable when legitimate concerns about patient care are raised? From my perspective, it appears that the current management is more focused on financial and insurance related priorities than on ensuring that patients receive the quality care and respect they deserve. I hope these concerns are taken seriously and that meaningful steps are taken to improve the culture of care within the rehabilitation unit for the benefit of current and future patients.

I was appalled ! Screens broken on the window..So the patients can enjoy misquotes!!!! Dirty blinds window sills. Hasn't had a paint job since it open Dated and Dirty! Aids with attitudes that didnt understand basic words in english such as "up and down". Food looked OK. Its a disgrace!!!! I felt bad for those in their care. .

The care that my mom received in 2024 was amazing. I could not say enough about the quality of care she received. She left stronger than ever!!! About a month ago, She needed to return to Lutheran to get her strength back and we were so happy with that decision. Unfortunately, administration changed, 80% of the staff that was there in 2024 left which means the facility overall went down hill. Mom contracted a horrible bacterial infection which led her to the ER. There they actually found out that her bone in her hip completely shattered and that she now would have to undergo a second surgery to repair it. Please be aware when considering placing your loved one there. So incredibly heartbreaking.

First off, I would like to stay anonymous, because my mother is still under the care of Lutheran Care Rehab, and I fear possible retaliation or mistreatment toward her for me speaking up. On November 8th, 2025, I received a phone call from my mom around 7:30 a.m., stating that she had been awakened by staff arguing loudly in the hallway. She told me that the night shift is often extremely noisy, making it difficult for her and other residents to rest. There’s a CNA named Lola, who wears a scrub cap, and has repeatedly displayed aggressive and unprofessional behavior. I have personally visited many times to have dinner with my mother and have observed this aide in the dining room, she curses at residents, speaks harshly, and carries herself in a very intimidating and angry manner. On one occasion, she told a resident to “move their blood clot.” I later looked up the meaning of “blood clot,” which is a vulgar Jamaican slang term used as an insult, and I was absolutely shocked that a healthcare worker would use such language toward elderly residents. I have observed this same aide taking out her frustration on residents for weeks, and my mother has told me that other residents have noticed it too. One resident even shared that after ringing the call bell one night, Lola stormed in and yelled, “What do you want?” in a nasty, aggressive tone. Another issue I want to raise is that Nurse Jennifer has also been extremely unprofessional and rude toward both residents and family members. Lastly, it’s concerning that most of the staff do not wear name badges, making it nearly impossible to identify who is who when reporting issues. I do want to note that Nurse Cassandra and the rehab department are great, but if you are considering checking your loved one into this facility, please be aware of these two workers. The lack of accountability and professionalism I’ve witnessed is deeply disappointing and completely unacceptable for a place that’s supposed to provide care and comfort.
