My dad is here for rehab and has only spoke highly of it. All the staff are friendly and caring, the facility is nice, and the rehab has been great. We don’t live in the area and they have been very accommodating. Erica has gone out of her way to help us with things that we need which has been a lifesaver on more than one occasion. I’d recommend this facility for anyone who needs a staff that truly cares about it’s patients.

Caregivers are very pleasant and responsive to the needs of their patients/ residents. The facility is clean and well-maintained. I recommend Genesis Rehab for anyone needing help in recovering from surgery and/ or illness. They will help you regain your strength and skills.

From my arrival I have experienced professionalism, purpose and kindness. I am encouraged every day to regain my personal power and return home happier and healthier. All the care takers especially those on the first floor along with the rehab professionals have been encouraging and inspiring with hope!

This place is understaffed and overworked. For 9 DAYS, my mom was a patient here at Lopatcong Center, operated by Genesis Healthcare. The staff keeps busy, but patient care seems to be a secondary concern of this company. My mom was given a corn muffin for breakfast when her chart shows her being allergic to corn… it will cause her to develop anaphylaxis. The staff also refused to let my mom keep her EpiPen in her purse and promised they would order one for her. We never got confirmation this was ever done. Another day, I witnessed a nurse run down the hall to a patient with a peanut allergy to stop him from eating a peanut butter frosted desert which the nursing home staff tried to feed him. My mom asked for tea with her meals; the staff kept bringing her coffee which she can’t drink. This facility also has been found to have widespread violations of New Jersey State Law regarding staffing requirements and has received multiple F-level deficiencies as recently as June 2025. More info on these State law violations can be found if you google the words “Lopatcong Center New Jersey gov”. The first result should be the State report in detail. Please take my experience into consideration when making plans for yourself or your family at the Lopatcong Center, operated by Genesis. Also, the night manager is a disrespectful human with an attitude no place in healthcare.

My father has been on the second floor for 2 years. The staff on this floor are amazing!! They are so caring and friendly. They joke around with the residents and treat them with compassionate care and dignity. I thank them every time I’m there! Thanks again!!
