The Living Center

The Living Center is a fully-licensed 99-bed skilled nursing facility in Marshall, Missouri, offering Medicare- and Medicaid-certified care. It provides complete custom nursing care for individuals requiring moderate to total assistance with activities of daily living, as well as specialized memory care for those diagnosed with Alzheimer's disease, other dementias, or cognition deficits.

The facility shares a campus with Fitzgibbon Hospital, positioned just a hallway away, which enables seamless transitions from hospital care to skilled nursing and long-term care. This proximity also facilitates convenient and safer access to hospital appointments and clinic services without requiring ambulance transportation.

On-site therapy services include physical, occupational, speech, and lymphedema therapy, as well as aquatic therapy covered under Medicare Part A and B. The facility maintains a single health record system shared with Fitzgibbon Hospital and its clinics to coordinate care. Security features include a 24-hour security system, fire suppression system, and door locks.

The Living Center admits individuals for recuperative services, particularly those recovering from stroke, cardiac events, or diabetes management, as well as those not yet ready to return home. The facility supports resident engagement through a Resident Council with elected representatives who offer new ideas and input on community operations.
