Very dirty place, the residents goes days without baths. Some of the residents are treated very poorly as well some of the nurses let the CNA pass their meds narcotics and all because they are lazy and sit at the computer all night long playing games and looking for places to rent, even looking for dogs to adopt and do not check on residents if they have a complaint and upper management knows they choose to do nothing about it or protect the residents. I would not put my dog in this nursing home.

I wouldn't send my loved one here, especially if they can't do some self care. They put on a good front, but when you spend time there, you see what's really going on. They took 30 minutes to an hour before getting our mom on the bedpan everyday, which resulted in uti's and kidney infections. They also neglected to take our mom to her kidney Dr. We made them get her to the hospital just in time with stage 4 kidney failure. Luckily she got better and was returned there. She also got very sore on her backside. They gave her a ripped up mattress that had wetness seeping thru. She got a staff infection from that. Then they left her unattended in her wheelchair and she tried to get up, because she needed to use the bedpan, and fell forward and hit her head on the metal dresser corner. She had a concussion! Then she got another kidney infection and this time when we got her to the hospital, it was too late. Dialysis didn't work for her and she died. They need a Dr. checking these patients weekly!!! Not once a month! They did other things wrong too, but these are the major issues. Don't trust these people..they aren't doing people right.

Dislike that you walk straight into the dining room when you arrive. Call light and urinal was not in place for loved one to reach. Additionally call light was extremely long. Therefore loved one could pull on it multiple times without it actually calling the nurses station. Loved one was too tall for the bed that they were in. This created their feet being pushed up against the footboard and the board being broken in two. Loved one had large indentions on both feet from the footboard being in place for multiple days. During dinner time loved one was served a pureed tray when they were not on a pureed diet. When speaking with dietary this problem was not immediately resolved. Overall, it did not have a urine smell to it upon arrival. However, the beds, furniture, baseboards and light fixtures all seemed to be the same as they were 30 years ago when I worked there. After seeing other facilities this one desperately needs to be updated with new furniture, electronics, and updated medical file process and MedPass protocol.

Ok for regular nursing home, but any type of dementia, id take to a facility more trained in that specific illness.
