⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Lisbet Memory Care at Wellington Bay is truly exceptional. The facility itself is absolutely beautiful, always clean, welcoming, and thoughtfully maintained, but the very best part is the staff. Our very first experience there with Richard and Ellie set the tone for the wonderful experience we have had ever since. From that first interaction, we felt warmth, professionalism, and genuine care, and that has continued every step of the way. From the moment you walk in, you feel it. The front door staff are always kind, they welcome us with a smile, and they gladly walk us to the entrance to memory care. It sets the tone every single visit. They take such wonderful, loving care of my 94 year old mother. A friend who was visiting recently shared something that meant so much to me. A nurse’s aide came into my mom’s room and noticed her bra strap was showing, she quietly and discreetly adjusted it for her without making a fuss. That small act of dignity and kindness says everything about the level of care here. They treat residents with such respect. Marie, the day nurse, is just the sweetest person. She always greets everyone who walks in with a warm smile and is happy to walk them back to the door and let them out. I have never seen her without a smile on her face. She is kind, patient, and helpful, and that spirit seems to carry through the entire team. The staff consistently go above and beyond, and you can truly feel that they care. We also love Nicole. When my mother was in the hospital, Nicole went to visit her to check on her personally. We received regular phone calls to see how she was doing, and we truly felt cared for every step of the way. That level of compassion and follow through meant more to our family than they probably realize. The administrator deserves recognition as well. She truly listens to the needs of the residents and their families, and when recommendations are made, adjustments are thoughtfully considered and implemented. That openness and responsiveness make a tremendous difference. I also love that they bring everyone out for meals and truly make it an experience. The tables are set with placemats and silverware, creating a sense of normalcy and dignity. Residents are encouraged to gather together. The open common space is warm and welcoming, and you will often find residents sitting together participating in the music program or the exercise program. The memory care residents have access to the same level of engagement and activities as assisted living, and they truly work to involve everyone and keep residents active and connected. Recently, I went to visit my mother and she was not there because she had gone on a bus ride. They had taken the memory care residents out for a ride to the park so they could enjoy some outdoor time and a change of scenery. I thought that was so special, and I was thrilled that my mother was able to participate. Before moving to memory care, my mother was in assisted living, and that experience was also fantastic. The quality of the food, the attentive care, the beauty and cleanliness of the facility, and the warmth of the staff make it outstanding. I feel so blessed and grateful that my mother is being so well cared for at Lisbet. I would highly recommend Wellington Bay to any family looking for compassionate, high quality care for their loved one.
