The Irwin House is exactly what I was hoping for! There are only 8 residents, and it feels like a home instead of an assisted living. Chris and Emily are amazing, they take such good care of my Mother. I am at peace with where she is. The stress of finding a place and making that decision are gone! The Lord answered my prayer. This is an extended family with the other clients here and all the staff. If your looking into an assisted living for your loved one, please check into Lighthouse Assisted Living.

Transitioning a family member into any type of assisted living or long term care environment can be a stressful and emotional time for everyone. But, if you find yourself in that situation, I highly recommend that you consider Lighthouse Assisted Living. It is NOT your typical "dark nursing home" - it is quite the opposite - it is more like moving into the home of an extended family. The homes and open, clean, and bright. While all companies are going through staffing issues these days, they do a good job of holding onto a number of what I consider "essential" employees. At the Irwin house in particular, Chris and Emily provide outstanding direct resident care. And Will is the jack of all trades that does everything and anything that is needed to keep the operation moving for ALL the individual homes - external/internal maintenance, setting up resident rooms, helping residents set up their TV and wifi, fixing their wheelchairs and walkers, etc etc etc - literally whatever he is called upon to do on any given day - and he does it with a positive attitude and a smile on his face. My stepdad is always excited when Will shows up for some project at his house as he knows Will will make the time to say hello to all the residents and engage in conversation with them. Will, Chris, and Emily treat the residents with respect. I'm glad I discovered the good people at Lighthouse Assisted Living.

We were in a time crunch to get my dad in a facility that could handle his needs. Lighthouse was responsive, and so helpful during such a stressful time. I love that one of the owners has a medical background and could read my dads charts to assess what he would need so quickly. My dad was in the Irwin home, a beautiful setting, with a large yard and back deck. The rooms were good sized, and my dad shared a room (room sizes vary though). The residences are allowed to roam the home and not feel confined. The staff was good at communicating his needs and let us get medical attention he needed. I could add so many positive things they did during the pandemic, but I don't want it to be too lengthy. My Stepmom is in another large facility up north near her daughter. I wish she was getting the same care my dad got at Lighthouse. When my dad was in the hospital, put on hospice, Lighthouse didn't have to take him back. But Lighthouse did take him back, and worked really hard keeping him comfortable in his last days.
