Making decisions for the patients without consulting them or the family. when something hard for them to do or they are not able to do instead of saying so they make up excuses or try to avoid doing it at all for you .

I was always taught that if you have nothing good to say keep your mouth shut. No news is good news. Well with these people no news means nothing is getting done. The day center is awesome. The first thing that they say to you is we will provide all medical. Do you agree. The medical part is so slow. He started December of 2017. Immedality they called me in about blood work. Fast forward to October 2018 before that got him to his outside appointment. They missed his November appointment. Now I had to call to make sure that he got the appointment. Finally got an biopsy in January 2019 and the people doing the scheduling at STJP wanted to put off the results. They will prolong visit just to meet their transportation needs no matter how important it's to the client. You have to beg them to set appointments.

This is an awesome program. I felt welcomed from the first day I came to the center. The staff are hard working and show genuine care and concern for the participants. I’ve talked with many participants who express how happy and grateful they are for this program. One stating it was a “Godsend” :) From activities, to the food prepared in the kitchen, to the warm smiles from staff who are always willing to help, this center deserves 5 stars!

This place is horrible my mom has been in the program for a few years but they claim their main focus is to have a partnership with the family but they drop the ball quite often on their end. They do not clean the facility properly the always have outbreaks going due to their lack cleanliness around more than once has my mother caught something from being there and it has cost us work and they could care less I will definitely try to find another program but Do Not Use this place The health department or the state needs to do a inspection at the Fayetteville NC location

Very difficult to get a medical appointment outside of sheduled times twice a year. Need to get their permission first before exercising judgment like obvious signs of MI, STOKE, OR LABORED BREATHING should be able to call EMS first then notify the medical team. Difficult to see specialist regularly, who are in their system - like if cardiologist desires to follow his patient 3-4 times a year the mid level has a protocol to say that it is not needed but once or twice a year and if SJP does not schedule the specialist appointment the insurance thru SJP's Pace Medicaid will not pay specialist. Their midlevel providers rarely see the full scope of the patient's needs because they lack training to treat individually and consider the changes that occur in geriatric patients...and are also lacking a supervising physician available at all times on the premises. The rest of staff is very good with check in, check out, day room care, bus services, etc. Another weakness is Social work services and it's coordination with medical to follow a specialist ' s recommendations to improve care like regular physical therapy for a parkinson patient as recommended by one's Neurologist. I noted all these frustration and my mom has been at SJP for about 9 months.
