My mom lived in Library Square for 14 years, and went into hospice in a nursing home for the last 2 years of her life. When we asked to have her memorial service there, they said it wasn't possible. This means that most of her friends from the end of her life won't be able to attend. Policies definitely come before people here--there's a lot of caring before you sign your contract and lots of corporate policies and explanations of why they can't help afterward. Update: Thank you for the response, but my mother is dead and her memorial service is over, so unless you can turn back time and agree to hold her memorial service, there's nothing that you can do for her.

My dad loved this place when he moved in two years ago. He loves playing cards and the outings and the many friends he has made but things have definitely gone downhill. The bedbug infestation has gotten out of hand and the management has done next to nothing about it for over a year. Now it's really bad. Also, dozens of my dad's friends have moved out because LS raises the prices an absurd amount every year. And I don't think management realizes the residents talk to each other. Several people living in one bedroom units and who don't have any pets all got different rent increases. Significantly different. Why? I've also seen ads lately about their AWESOME respite care. Well I can tell you from experience, that their respite care SUCKS. My dad needed it for a couple weeks recently after having surgery. 10 out of the 14 days, NO ONE EVEN SHOWED UP. They were supposed to come in, help him dress and get his meds to him and make sure he was settled before leaving and seriously, no one even came. And two of the days they did come, an aide stood there and watched him struggle to get himself dressed and then left. And they charge a ridiculous amount for this NON service too. When he moved in, he was also told he could park his car in the lot out front if he didn't want to pay the monthly parking garage fee (he didn't) and at some point in the past few months the residents were told they can't park there anymore because it's only for visitors. If my dad didn't like his friends and the outings so much I would seriously try to talk him into leaving this place. As other reviews stated, they are all smiles and friendliness until the lease is signed. I find the management to be very fake.

Mia and Darryl were very pleasant,polite and very easy to approach! We love there accent and really enjoyed the way treated us! Hope to work with them in the future!

A great place live. My mother loves it here. They have lots of activities for the residents and the meals (lunch and dinner) are prepared by an excellent chef. All the staff are top-notch, from the cleaning crew to the Administration, they are friendly and professional at the same time. I recommend this place to anyone looking to settle down.

Library Square is the best kept secret in senior living. We came to Library Square after we realized my senior mother needed an apartment that had a few more "safety net" features, like a walk in shower and pull cords. Library Square has exceeded our expectations in every way imaginable. The remodel has come together so nicely. The staff are incredibly caring and kind, which was evident from my first time touring. My mother's health is now better than it was, because she participates in their daily weekday exercise classes and is kept so active by the numerous, stimulating social activities. The community is vibrant and active, and as a resident, it seems hard to be bored! We love seeing the outings bus taking so many trips out on such a variety of trips! We're so grateful we found Library Square and my mother has been able to call it her new home.
