My sister’s home has been at The Terraces Assisted Living on Puetz Road since August of 2025. I can honestly say I’ve never left a visit to her without observing some kindness or assistance provided by staff to her or other residents. All of them make themselves available to help me whenever I need it. But what really stands out is the help they give my sister: always truly present, always compassionate, always treating her with dignity and respect. Just one example: on my sister’s birthday, she chose not to come downstairs for a little birthday surprise. So eight or nine staff took the time to go up to her apartment to sing Happy Birthday, give her a card signed by ALL staff, birthday cake, and several warm hugs. My sister is dealing with dementia. Will she remember the visit? Likely not. What matters is that she lives with a feeling of comfort and is being cared for by people who really do.
