My wife and I moved to Blue Skies of Texas almost two years ago due to health issues. There are many reasons why it has been voted the number one Life Planning Community in Texas. Number one is the residents themselves. We have never before lived in such a warm, loving and embracing community where residents and staff go out of their way to meet your needs. The amount of activities at Blue Skies are beyond expectations and if they don’t have an activity that you like, you are encouraged to start up what you would like to do with other residents. We keep as busy as we want and rest in our lovely apartment at other times. The food is delicious and nutritious and we love that we don’t have to prepare it anymore.

We visited BlueSkies as we are looking for a CCRC “before we need it”. Ms Leslie kindly customized a tour for us: The community and facilities lived up to its high rating. Thank you.

Liberty House is the worst , Potential for Elder Abuse and Neglect: Denying residents access to meals, especially the "best" ones , like BBQ . Lydia teach all the females employees how to over order ,then package everything to take it with her. But when residents guess ask for it ……she goes like you have to ask the day before …..even do she over Order but none for the ones that is supposed Where is HR when the manager violate these rights . It should be investigated this situation is frustrating for the residents The kitchen lead Lydia and her female stuff are taking the best meals intended for residents signals potential neglect and violation of rights.

I’ve lived at Blue Skies of Texas West for 9.5 years. The adjustment was made easy by the staff & fellow residents. The friendships, exercise programs, and social events helps to keep me young and active. What a blessing it is to live at such a wonderful community. The facilities while not new are kept up wonderfully by housekeeping, maintenance and the grounds crew. With great pride I have invited friends to visit our community. I must mention the museum quality military history donated by residents that adorn the halls of the main building. If you are missing socialization in your senior years this is the place for you. Great community and luxurious living conditions whether deciding to retire, or just changing pace. Very respectful towards veterans and their families, while equally receptive towards those who are not military but choose to make Blue Skies their home.
