We couldn’t be happier with the care and compassion shown at this senior living facility. From the moment we walked through the doors, we were welcomed with warmth, kindness, and genuine concern for the residents.

Brooke is wonderful—caring, attentive, patient, and always willing to go the extra mile. It is such a comfort to know that our loved one will be in a safe, clean, and welcoming environment where they are treated with dignity and respect.

The facility has a warm, home-like atmosphere. It is clear that they care about more than simply providing assistance—they genuinely care about the people they serve.

Communication with the family has also been excellent, which provides tremendous peace of mind.

We are incredibly grateful to the entire team for the compassion, kindness, and dedication they show every day. We highly recommend this facility to anyone looking for a loving and trustworthy home for their loved one. ❤️

Beautiful memory care facility...HORRIBLE care.
First, let me say, I’m a review girl. I read tons of reviews before I pick someplace (from a restaurant to healthcare). I write lots of reviews; if you do a good job, I will rave about you! But if you don’t... I’m fair there also. I leave reviews in the hopes of helping other people make more informed decisions.

My father spent 3 months in Legend (178th and Western) before his death. We picked Legend because it was bright and beautiful. The memory care was significantly bigger than other facilities, and there was a lot of area to walk...and my dad was a walker. (He was in good physical health but not mental) The facility is decorated nicely and usually clean, but that is where the good attributes stop.

My husband and I have been in healthcare for 25+ years. We are not newbies to these types of facilities.

Our first connection was with Alyssa. She wooed my mother for over a year before my mom decided she could no longer care for my dad at home. Alyssa was very kind and compassionate while my mom was making the decision to sign on the dotted line. She called very frequently to “check on” my mom. After my mom committed, Alyssa couldn't care less how our experience was going, and we never heard from her again. (At least check on a new admit a week or a month after they move in...at least pretend you care!)

The Memory Care facility barely took care of my dad. Despite what we were promised, it was basic babysitting at best. We were told his room would be cleaned, his sheets changed weekly, his laundry done. His sheets were changed maybe 3 times during the 3 months we were there. (I folded his sheets very specifically in the drawer so we would know). On several occasions, his sheets had dried feces in them, and my mom and I would change them.
We were told that the facility would help my dad get on a better schedule (he would Sundown at night and wander), but all they did was gripe about the fact that he walked at night. The residents wander on their own during the day while the care team talks amongst themselves in offices or med rooms.
We remarked several times that a resident could fall in their room and it would be HOURS before anyone would know. My dad was rarely showered (he probably did resist) or his fingernails cut. However, my mother occasionally PAID a male caregiver that worked at the facility under the table to help my dad. That caregiver didn't have an issue getting him to shower or shave! (Guess it just takes extra cash!) Wyleesha (sp?), the Memory Care Director, was always aggressive and never kind. She challenged anything we asked for or questioned, acted as if we were an annoyance, and nothing we ever discussed was followed through on.

The BRIGHT SPOT at Legend is Mollie, the recreational director in Memory Care. She was ALWAYS friendly, helpful, and kind. She went out of her way to help and always seemed to want to make the residents' lives better. We loved her. She is a gem!

My dad had to be transported to the hospital from the facility and died less than 48 hours later. No one ever called to check on him or reached out after his death.

Memory care is a hard job. I get that. Is there a better facility? I'm not sure; they all have issues. Just know that what you are "sold" before you sign the contract is not what you will get. Don't be too impressed by the "compassionate" sell and the beautiful facility.
And I sincerely hope your journey is better than ours was.

She genuinely cares about helping families make the right decision and is always supportive throughout the process.

I've confidently referred several families to Legend of Edmond because I know they'll be well cared for. The team is welcoming, the community is beautiful, and the food is consistently excellent. I highly recommend Brook and the entire Legend team to anyone looking for a caring and supportive place for a loved one.

I have been at Legends for over 2 years. We have many activities and play many fun games. There is a lot of entertainment weekly here also. Love the staff and they make my day being kind and caring. Seems like they know everyone here. Dining experience has been good and variety of food served. Thank you for my new home and love shared. Beverly Maxwell❤️🙏
