Legacy Senior Living

Legacy Senior Living is an assisted living community in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, founded by Katie Dickey, a licensed Physician Assistant and Residential Assisted Living Specialist. The community was created through the merger of two families who shared a vision of transforming the aging process through the comfort of home.

The community provides personalized, compassionate assisted living care guided by clinical expertise and nursing leadership. Residents receive support with daily routines including meals and medication management, while the nursing-directed approach emphasizes protecting safety, dignity, communication, and quality of life. The home is designed to promote freedom and autonomy for those needing additional support during the aging process.

Legacy was established after Katie Dickey's mother was diagnosed with early-onset dementia and thrived best in a home environment. This experience led Katie to recognize that she could better serve families and patients through residential care rather than clinical settings. The community incorporates her clinical team experience to recognize small health changes and address issues promptly, preventing larger problems.

The home environment is intentionally curated to integrate caregivers and design elements that support the aging process. The approach emphasizes that aging requires more than a room, it encompasses clinical support, community, energy, empathy, and compassion to create a lifestyle rather than simply a place to live.
