Reviews for Laurelwood Community Living Center are decidedly mixed, with the same theme repeating across several accounts: therapy staff are consistently praised, while nursing care and staffing levels draw serious complaints. NO NO NO NO NO NO NO!! Do not let anyone you even remotely care about ever go in to this facility if you have any other option. I wil could give explanations as to why but the review wouldn’t fit. Please feel free to email me if you would like details. Unfortunately some people do not have another option, and for those if you I will be praying for you.

Do not understand why Laurelwood has a 3.5 rating. The hospital sent my brother to their step down unit. The whole facility smelt like urine. My brother suffers from congestive heart failure. NO ONE checked on my brother during the night not to mention the roaches trying to crawl across his bed. Only ONE nurse was nice to call an ambulance for my brother while one nurse refused to call the ambulance. I will be reporting this to the appropriate agencies. I feel so sorry for the patients that are there. Not to mention the irreparable mental damage done to my brother! DO NOT use this facility!

Let me just say that I have fought for my mom's post Covid/ CVA care tooth and nail and I had high hopes that I had picked a facility that would take care of her. I was wrong. The therapy teams are excellent but the nursing staff/ care is either completely inadequate, short staffed or they simply do not care. I am not sure which, but I wouldn't trust them with a stray dog let alone my beloved mother. They nearly killed her and she was in septic shock all the while they were telling me that she was fine. Dr. Rogers would never return my calls and failed to communicate a care plan for her with me at all. Look for another facility for your loved ones, please. I wish I had someone to warn me. I'm new to all of this and picked the worst place.
