I don’t typically leave a negative review, as there is so much of that in the world. And while there are some gems (Tiarra) others are aloof, show little compassion and have not taken the time to help my mother feel oriented after her stroke. I had one cna roll her eyes at me when I reminded her of my mother’s stroke in an attempt to offer explanations. Lasata Heights is great, Lasata Care Center is not. My mother said she felt like dirt after her Saturday morning attendant arrived. I witnessed the eye roll! I welcome a call from management.

My Mother recently spent time at the Lasata Care Center as a rehabilitation resident after back surgery. We both were very pleased with her care, the staff and the support we received from Lasata. After almost 2 1/2 weeks, my Mom is back home and recovering well. Thank you all! I highly recommended this facility for yourself or a loved one.

Staff was very accommodating, caring, & compassionate. Nursing staff (including RN’s & most CNA’s) took the time to get to know my husband & really understand his unique situation & care needs. They seemed to be less rushed than I’d experienced in other rehab facilities. Therapists also provided exceptional care. They were all experienced professionals that quickly understood the multi-faceted challenges my husband faced, & worked collaboratively to achieve the best possible results for him. Communication with nursing staff & therapists was also excellent. They conducted productive weekly care meetings & addressed any questions or concerns throughout his stay. My only criticism would be the food. A bit boring & bland. But that was easily supplemented with carry out meals & snacks. Thank you Lasata staff for providing such exceptional care & giving me peace of mind that my husband was in very capable hands.

I am very unhappy with the care my mom received. She lives at LaSata Heights so we’re were happy to have the rehab center as part of the campus. Unfortunately, her care there was very poor. There is no consistency in staff. There is no consistency in level of care: sometimes she got a morning sponge bath, teeth brushed and hair combed, sometimes nothing. They lost her much needed medication for glaucoma. She rang her bell for assistance to the bathroom but after waiting 1 and a half hours got herself up and went. I went to visit evert afternoon and never met a nurse or could find one. The Physical Therapist was good. The Occupational Therapist did not listen and understand her needs to return home.m If you are bed-bound you can not reach the light cord or the emergency cord. I had counted on this facilities as offering any rehab care she might need. I would be very hesitant to use it again if she needed post-hospital care,. Mary Whittet Her support staff to transition her home to LaSata Heights (part of their own complex) knew nothing about what services she has available there ( meals, cleaning, hair salon…)

No air conditioning in the rooms. What a dump. The staff is clearly overworked and dying in this heat. The staff cannot provide proper care when they are miserable from the oppressive heat. If you wish to call with a question about your loved one's care, let me save you the time. "I don't know, you should ask the nurse." Good luck finding or getting a nurse to answer the phone. And someone needs to put Delores back in her room and get a trained employee answering the phone. 0/10, the County should be ashamed of itself. I fear for my future if this is the type of care I'm going to get....what a pit.
