My brother is a patient here, I have been calling to see how my brother is doing and they pick up but when they and transfer to the me to nurse or the manager they just let the phone ring or hang up on me. Yesterday I called the non- emergency police department to do a welfare check on him. I live in Texas and he is in Florida. This is so hard on me. They told the cop that they called me but I don’t answer. That’s a big fat lie. My brother is dying with cancer I don’t know how long he has left all I want to do is to talk to him. Why is that hard for them to do. I can’t sleep because I worried about him. How can people be so heartless. I went to see him two months ago. . I can’t come back out.

0/5 stars, my father has been here for three months now and communication with staff has been terrible since day one. No one answers the phone at the nurses station, your on hold for over an hour which is highly unacceptable when you have a loved one who can be going through God knows what and family will never know!

I am grateful for the care and compassion some of the nurses showed my father at this establishment, but the way this place is ran is a disgrace. My father recently passed away and when I get there to collect his possessions I am presented with boxes filled with another man's clothes. Two shirts were my father's. I did not get any of his new art supplies, his portable oxygen machine, none of the food recently bought for him. Just boxes filled with another man's clothes. Lucky his phones were in there. Sadly they had been "lost" for the final month of his life and it really limited the amount I was able to get a hold of him as I lived out of state and his room phone was unplugged until a very compassionate nurse plugged it in and called me personally so I could speak to my father. Any other person I spoke to there just said they would look for his phones but never found them. He was constantly losing clothes and items during his time here, Which I find insane to happen to a man that is for all intents and purposes bedridden. At times management were responsive, but overall good luck getting a hold of anyone as all their mailboxes were full.

I want to preface this review by saying that I am grateful for the assistance this nursing home provided for my mom so that she could go home. However, that's the only positive thing that I'll say about this place. Everything looks run down and outdated in the rooms, and one example I can give is that some dressers have visible holes in the drawers, thus making it impossible to use them normally. Some staff can be extremely rude/uncaring when it comes to taking care of your loved ones and an example I have is that when I visited my mom, one of the nurses made a visibly disgusted face before assisting my mom in the bathroom. This specific nurse also made my mom feel humiliated when she used a can of air freshener and sprayed it all around my mom and her room. When my mom's bed was made, little effort was given to make it presentable and the nurse that was taking care of my mom's bed laid only a sheet and an underpad down, which I wasn't pleased with. In addition to that, it takes at least two to three to even four tries to get what my mom was requesting (for example, another pillow to lay her head on) and even then you'd still have to wait. Now, I understand that the nurses are taking care of a lot of people at once and can forget things at times, however it shouldn't take multiple reminders for a small request. This facility also lost a couple of my mom's dresses in the laundry, of which I wasn't able to go back into the room to assist in looking for the dresses my mom wanted. No one has bothered to follow up with us regarding the lost items, either, so this incident has further soured my opinion on this place. When it comes to discharging someone to go home, this facility completely dropped the ball with my mom. Instead of making sure that my mom would be set as far as reintegrating into her community and aftercare, pretty much everything was left to me to coordinate and set up (i.e. her outpatient therapy, insurance, and sending equipment to the house before her release day.) I'm still dealing with the ramifications of this gross negligence to this day and it caused a delay in allowing my mom to see her doctor when she should have. All in all, please look for somewhere else for your loved one(s) to go. This place is not worth it and there are far better nursing homes (Aviata at Countryside comes to mind) available that will be more efficiently ran, have caring and compassionate staff, and overall leave a great impression on you when you visit them.

I love the attention to detail and how they welcome you as family. The nurses are professional and courteous and take their time with you as a patient. Shout out to the Nursing Director who took her time and her patience explaining the treatment details.
