I had a nurse named Lynn with curly hair she has slipped a couple of bad pills in my cup and couldn't sleep all night that is messing with somebody's life . Since I have not had her I've been absolutely fine. You dont mess with somebody's life like that THERE is also a lady who comes IN every morning who is abusing residents and taking their blood everytime u get your blood taken you get weaker and weaker and she's getting away with it ...... THAT is NURSING HOME ABUSE CHECK on your loved ones in here this is discusting

I called because I sent my sister a package and the front desk lady named Jerry said someone from “activities” had to be there for my sister to open and get her package. How is that possible??? These are adults. Then instead of answering my questions she sent me to the voicemail of psych services who didn’t answer at all. Admin clearly isn’t doing their job. My sister has a lot of stomach issues and lives far away from me so I am trying to get her stuff she needs because they don’t let her go out. She has not leveled up at all since being here which doesn’t make sense. Her dietary needs are not being met and they are refusing to give her ensures even to fill her calorie deficit. I will definitely be lodging a complaint to the state about this facility

Wish I could give zero stars. This place has the absolute worst administrative staff. Had an ear surgery scheduled for the past 6 months for my daughter who was a patient. This procedure was scheduled with a specialist so the wait was quite long to schedule. I called and spoke to Danielle director of nursing 6 days before the scheduled surgery date. Told her I needed my daughter taken to Loyola for the surgery in 6 days. Gave her all the info with a promise of a call back. Of course, no call back. I called back 2 days later and talked to Psych Social named Kendall. She was much more pleasant. Explained everthing again to her and she said that shouldn't be a problem. They arrange for patient appointments all the time. In fact, they had recently taken a patient to Loyola for an appt. She also said sometimes they take the patient themselves and sometimes send a CNA with them. She would check into it for me and have Dir. of Nursing call me back. I told her not to bother since she was already supposed to call me back but never did. Then she said she would refer it to the medical person named Diamond. 5 minutes later got a call back from Danielle, DON. She had a horrible attitude so I knew Kendall told her. She kept saying there was nothing they could do because it's already Friday and the surgery is next Tuesday and they would have needed more time to schedule transportation. I told her I contacted her 2 days earlier!! I was trying to explain why it was so important that she get this surgery but she just kept talking over me. I finally said "if you're going to continue to talk over me, I'll just wait till you're done so go ahead." She then hung up on me!!! If I ever spoke that way on my job I would have been fired. I called right back and asked to speak to the Administrator and was put into a voice mail. SURPRISE!! NO CALL BACK!! Unbelievable! Now it's Sunday and no call back from ANYONE. Also no call back from this "Diamond" person either. I called this morning and found out Kendall with Psych Social was in today so I left an urgent message with the receptionist to call me back. It's been 2 hours and no call back. DO NOT SEND YOUR LOVED ONE HERE!!! I'm checking into further legal action against them. No one should have to put up with this level of incompetence.

I am very pleased and applaud Joliet Terrace because their procedures and guidelines during the Covid shelter in place resulted in all clients being safe and testing negative. Even though it was uncomfortable for all, the results speak for themselves and I am pleased for my family member that resides there.

Friendly reception is probably the best I can say. Some nurses feel as if they are too good to answer your questions or requests. Relax please. Personally I needed assistance with paperwork that needed to be filled out and I was given a hard time as if I was being interrogated. Like it is your job to help me the best you can and create a friendly environment but no you have to be complicated and downright unprofessional, the attitude of some people .. but now I know why people react a certain way when I mention I'm from the area. It's just Joliet things.
