I will forever be grateful for the care, love and support the entire staff of the Brudnick Center showed me and my mom during her final weeks. The care, compassion and facility were unlike any other rehab I had experienced over the years while caring for both my mom and dad in their later years. A peaceful, beautiful spot that provided attentive care and dignity to my mom. I felt supported as things started to deteriorate with my mom's health and this special place was a gift to my family during a very difficult time. A special thank you to Peyton, a nurse, who went above and beyond. From the initial intake to calling to follow up with how I was doing, this was a remarkable place and a truly special staff.

My mom was in short term rehab for 2 and half weeks.. This was as a family first time using a rehab facility. Everything was great. They got my mom up and moving for her hip fracture right away. PT and OT were awesome...The staff did a great job

My father was admitted to the Brudnick Rehabilitation Center for IV antibiotics to treat bacteremia. I was very disappointed in the nursing staff at the facility. My father had been on oxygen for several years for advanced lung disease. He arrived with no paperwork from the hospital, no oxygen, and no medication instructions. I spoke to the nursing staff the next day, and told them about the oxygen. I was told he did not need it as his oxygen levels were good, and that it may damage his lungs. My mother spoke to the NP the third day he was there, and was told they never received the discharge summary. He did not get his usual medications for that period, and was in alot of pain (has chronic pain). He ended up having none of his bowel medications, and developed a partial ileus and respiratory distress requiring a transfer back to the local hospital, and then to a Boston Hospital. His breathing became worse most likely due to the distress of his abdominal pain. The day he was finally transferred back to the local hospital, I tried to speak to the nurse, charge nurse, and nursing supervisor about my concerns regarding his abdominal pain and distention, and was essentially ignored. I felt as though the nursing staff was very lax, disinterested in my father, and appeared defensive to me like I was out of line bothering them. I felt the nursing staff was negligent toward my father, defensive, and non responsive to me when I was trying to express my concerns to them. He also ended up with a fungal blood stream infection possibly from poor IV care technique. I would never recommend this facility.

I personally chose this rehab to go to after being in the hospital for 10 days.. my mom was there 10 years prior and I was impressed by seeing all of the work being done by the staff.. PT and OT in particular.. so that is why I chose to go there.. I was there for 11 days.. all of the staff that I interacted with were wonderful.. PT and OT worked closely with me and taught me so much.. I carried that with me when I went home and still use what I was taught.. very grateful.. -Patty Di Rico
