I would say I'm at a loss for words but, my review will clearly show otherwise. I took it upon myself to visit some nursing facilities in the area and I felt it my duty as someone looking for housing for my grandmother to help others narrow their search away from this facility. I cannot even believe what I witnessed today was reality. I am truly baffled as to how healthcare professionals can walk into a building this filthy and not take a moment to think of the compromised immune systems of the sick elderly residents that live here. Frankly, I did not stay long, my first clue was when I arrived the gentleman at the front desk didn't even seem to know I was there at all. I didn't think much of it at first and honestly kind of jumped at the opportunity to take a little look around. I didn't get too far because I grabbed one of the railings on the wall and was immediately repulsed by the sticky filth that stuck to my hand. Not having a clue what this substance could be and without allowing myself to think of the possibilities I went to the nearest bathroom only to find ABSOLUTELY NO SOAP IN THE DISPENSERS. So not only do I now have this mystery substance stuck to my hands, I CANT WASH IT OFF. There was a room I passed by that was INSANELY cluttered to the point of it looking like a horde from the TV show and at that point I had all the information I needed to know that I would be torturing my grandmother if I allowed her to live here. Disgusting and embarrassing to say the least.

I'm terminal I'll and per recommendation took a chance on Jefferson Place Nursing around the clock I thought I would be in a qualifying and safe in environment, "My mistake" my appointment to do my paperwork was scheduled for 3pm and no one on staff knew anything about my arrival? So they rushed around just to throw a share a room together with someone. I didn't have my oxygen until 9:pm that night and they rejected the use of my foam bed toppers claiming that they might not be fire safe. I'm 3 weeks in and haven't heard anything about this since. I also Didn't have a call light button. The staff knows after I told them that I just had cancer brain surgery plus about (4) types of seizures that a call light was absolutely necessary. It's taken weeks to get anything I've actually needed for my needs, meanwhile our main office is switching staff so the Administrator has been a nightmare to say the least. She still hasn't met the bed ridden residence, nor most of the staff? I tried having a personal meeting with her and was treated as a total burden and disregarded. She claimed she met with State agency staff and everything pass, There is absolutely NO WAY, THIS PLACE IS A TOTAL DUMP! Residents and staff have voiced their opinions with total disrespect and disregard as well. Please, consider that I'm terminal and shouldn't normally have any complaints but I don't want anyone else to suffer these issues after I am gone.

Do Not send your loved ones here. They will be left to die! This place is full of it and doesn't care. There are new people daily. No one wants to work. They hide in corners playing on phones and chatting away while residents sit in their crap for hours. They "sedate" residents so they don't have to deal with them and worst of all half the time they don't get fed. Numerous times my relative was skipped on meals. This is not a caring living facility..it's a death sentence! If you have loved ones here I encourage you to go daily so you can see the "real" picture.

The place was always dirty and always smelt bad, way worse than any other nursing home I’ve been in. They do NOT take care of people in there. We didn’t even have my grandma in there for a month because of it. They charge $6000 a month for what?!!?!! They left her in her wet pants for over 24 hours, let her crawl out of bed on multiple occasions, and she even fell out once and got banged up. They didn’t bath her regularly and her sheets were always disgusting. I would NOT recommend taking your loved ones here. They also have stolen multiple things of my grandmas that WE paid for ourselves and brought to her, and will NOT give them back. What a ridiculous establishment. They say they’re there to help your loved ones. In reality, they ignore them for as long as possible. I recommend doing research and getting into another place.
