Janney Apartments

Janney Apartments is an independent living community for seniors aged 62 and older in the Port Richmond neighborhood of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. The community consists of 47 one-bedroom apartments designed for low-income residents and includes modern finishes and accessible features.

All units are fully equipped to accommodate residents with physical, hearing, and visual impairments. The building includes a courtyard for residents to enjoy and is operated by HumanGood, a non-profit senior living operator.

Residency requires that all household members be at least 62 years old, except for applicants receiving Project-based Section 8 or FmHA-funded apartments, in which case only one household member must be 62 or older. The community maintains a non-discrimination policy and provides reasonable accommodations for residents with disabilities as required by federal, state, and local law.

Residents are permitted to keep common household pets in their apartments, and service or assistance animals are welcome. Management enforces pet rules regarding registration, inoculation, waste disposal, and restraint in common areas to maintain a safe and sanitary living environment for all residents.

Smoking is only permitted in designated areas of the premises, and residents are required to sign a non-smoking agreement as part of their lease.
