This place is a disgrace. My grandmother was there while getting iv antibiotics and every time she felt sick and asked for help no one came to help her. She was left alone pressing the button all night waiting for someone to come. Her room was covered in white residue which I later found out was her antibiotics spilling and dripping when they changed the iv bag. (I witnessed this myself while there). The nurse didn’t clean up after herself. The bathroom smelled like an outhouse, even with a mask on I could smell it and the walls were covered with stains. My grandmother also has to wear a cardioverter defibrillator vest which had moved from its place overnight and was not getting a good read on her heart and was sending notifications nonstop. If the nurse had checked on her once overnight they could have helped. We only found out her vest was having issues because Boston hospital called with concerns about all the notifications they were receiving from the device. Do not send your loved ones here. They will be treated terribly and not get taken care of properly. The conditions these residents live in are horrible and the nurses could care less about communicating with the family about anything that’s going on.

My mother is a long term resident of Hunt Nursing & Rehab Center. I can honestly state that she receives excellent care. I still have her in my life primarily due to the talent, love and compassion of the entire Hunt team. As a residents son I have access to all management, department heads and staff. On the rare occasion I have an issue it always been addressed immediately and resolved. It takes teamwork as a son and the Hunt team to provide excellent care for my mother. I visit my mother daily because I love her. I always thank all members of the Hunt team on an daily basis, they are family to me. My mother would not be a resident of Hunt if I thought she was not being taken care of to a high standard. What I have observed with other resident families is they don't often visit their loved ones, therefore complain due to own guilt. If anyone has any questions about their loved ones residing at Hunt please ask the Director of Admissions for my contact information. In a perfect world I would have my mother live with me, as mentioned I love her. This is not possible because the Hunt team has the skill sets that I don't possess. Thank you Hunt team for taking care of my mother to such a high medical standard and for your love and compassion, thank you grateful son !!!

My mom fell and broke her hip, came home from rehab and fell breaking the other one so she spent time at both the rehab and long term care units at Hunt. Covid changed everything and the staff at Hunt was no exception. The long term employees left and were replaced by agency staff who have no connection to the residents and were there only for a paycheck and to sit at the desk and play on their phones while call bells beeped and beeped. My mom had days where she was dressed in whatever was easy and handy for the aides....short sleeves in winter; sweatshirts in summer. She would be left in bed with wet diapers for hours. I would visit her after her meals and she would still have food smeared on her face and leftovers in her lap. Health issues like her eyes being crusted shut or possible UTI went untreated until we would push for escalation to the Nurse Practitioner. On the day my mother passed away, we got a call from Hunt and when we got there her roommate was unbelievably still in the room with her with only a closed curtain. The staff at Hunt actually brought the roommate lunch while we were trying to mourn our mom in private! They never offered to move my mom to another location so we could have our final alone time with her. This was so totally insensitive and unprofessional. In good conscience, I could never recommend Hunt to anyone looking for a long term care facility.

I lived at this Rehab for almost 2 weeks. I have been in 3 other facilities and this is the absolute best of them! The food was exceptional, but it is the staff that makes it a great place. They all actually care about the people! They are very attentive to the needs and wants of the patients; the nurses, the aides, the PT and OT staff, and even the Director of Admissions. I would recommend Hunt to anyone in need of a nursing home or a rehab in a heartbeat.
