I have a friend that is living here and we went to visit. This is a very nice assisted living facility and everybody is very nice and courteous. They also have a great Koi pond which is fun to go and watch the coy swim around. They also have some great activities for the residents such as a creative writing class.

Rudest receptionist I've ever met. In the lobby, in the corner is a baby grand piano(that is open for playing(assumably). So, on a recent visit only one women resident was sitting right in front of the piano, as I was walking by, I mentioned to the resident, you should get up and play, she said she didn't know how, but loved the piano. I said, hey I know how to play, want to hear a song? She said, oh yes, that would be wonderful. So, I sat down and played about 10 seconds when all of the sudden, Gayle(front desk) began screaming in the lobby, no piano! I stopped and looked at her, in shock and asked her is shouting at the top of your lungs allowed? Her voice was much louder than any piano. She then began to berate that because she didn't identify with what was being played, it wasn't allowed and it was disruptive to absolutely no one else( who was in the vacant lobby except for the embarrassed resident, who began to turn red with embarrassment for her and myself. I calmly said, this lady wanted to hear a song and asked me if I knew one, there's nobody else in eyesight. But, Gayle began shrieking, I said no! I apologized to the embarrassed lady resident for the horrible situation and looked at this receptionist and said you are a mean, despicable lady. Why is there a piano, if nobody is allowed to play it? Never again!

My experience at Homewoods on the Willamette began with an invitation to their holiday sale event. The products provided by these artists were amazing. I was then able to visit a friend's apartment. It was very cozy and inviting.
