Home Instead, Rockville MD, offers a reliable and excellent solution to the need for competent, caring in-home caregivers. A huge advantage is having a firm that manages care and scheduled shifts well even when individual scheduled caregivers become unavailable. There is a lot of inevitable turnover in this industry, and of course, individual caregivers might have unanticipated events arise -- so it is important to have a bench of staffing so all really needed shifts are covered reliably. Individual needs vary, of course.

Home Instead provided wonderful assistance to both of my elderly parents over the last 6 or 7 years. Two aides particularly stood out who cared for my father in his last years. Consolata and Christiana took wonderful care of him, and they were with him and us on his final day, and they truly were like family. We can not thank them enough. Home Instead worked with my sisters and me to adjust services and schedules based on my parents evolving needs. The back office staff and in-home care staff have all been terrific. We originally were seeking long term services for my mother, but when my father fell and broke his arm, the staff quickly adjusted to provide support for him. We have had to adjust the schedule several times to provide the appropriate level of care. Each time, the staff worked with us to provide guidance and suggestions. The in home team is composed of four different members and each one of them has fit into my parents' daily routines and provided support to them. We have had a number of "crises" with each of my parents and Home Instead promptly called us to inform us of the situation and ask for direction. The aides have become trusted allies and they truly care for our parents. They are interested in ensuring that they not only have their physical needs met, but that they are safe and emotionally supported as well. I highly recommend Home Instead to anyone who is looking to provide quality care to a loved one.

When my mom developed serious mobility issues last year, I turned to Home Instead to help care for her. It was one of the best decisions I ever made. Michele, the caregiver that Home Instead sent to work with my mom, is fantastic. She spends two days with Mom each week, taking her to medical appointments and helping her with cooking, laundry, light housekeeping and other daily tasks. Michele has provided Mom with a much-needed companion, and she has provided me with much-needed peace of mind. Michele has been a wonderful addition to Mom’s life, and she is why I recommend Home Instead to anyone who needs this type of service.

My very aged mother-in-law had a medical emergency requiring hospitalization. After a few days in the hospital she was being discharged and it was clear she couldn’t be home alone. We contacted Home Instead and they were able to provide us staffing on very short notice. Since my mother in law went home, Home Instead has been incredible. We have had some extenuating circumstances and they have worked with us and been very accommodating. The care givers are caring, friendly and patient. They definitely follow your direction and prioritize your needs. The communication has been excellent. I really cannot express how glad I am to have contacted this office for care.
