My family hired the Home Instead for the downtown Portland area to be the caregivers for my brother who was in hospice for the last weeks of his prostate cancer. From the beginning Bernard (owner) and I discussed the care we were looking for and during the process it showed that he genuinely cared about the people he was working with. Tracy his manager was also very attentive and responsive to requests that we made which made this awful experience so much more palatable. The caregivers were wonderful to work with as we had 24-hour care and the two caregivers that stood out were Anne (night shift) and Willy (day shift). They were both excellent at caring for my brother and made a connection with my family. Willy had similar life experiences (living in Alaska) as my mother so they shared many stories about places they both knew. I couldn't have asked for a better pair of caregivers than Anne and Willy to care for my brother in his last weeks of his life. I would wholeheartedly recommend this Home Instead for anyone going through hospice and needing caregivers to provide support.

For several years now, Home Instead has been providing excellent home care services for my 97 year old home bound mom. I would like to mention Jeff Ho in particular for his caring & professional demeanour, the ever friendly reception staff answering the phones, the care co-ordinators, & their team of care-givers. Thank you! As an addition to my last review from about 6 months ago, Home Instead/805 continues to maintain their high standard of excellence in helping with the care of my 99 year old mom. As a physician (retired) myself, their help is truly appreciated. In addition to my previous complements above to the staff, a special thank you to Kitty Bosshardt for her recent very professional review ensuring that there are no gaps in my mother's care.

Willie and Anne were absolutely lovely and caring with our brother in his last hours of his life. They never failed be attentive, cheerful, skilled and empathetic. Wonderful, wonderful people who are really doing their highest good. Thank you!!!

We used Grandmas Choice for care assistance for my mother who is in an assisted living facility, but needed a little extra care and some companionship. Everyone at Grandmas Choice worked with us in coordination to give my mom what she needed and added restrictions that we thought were best. They were professional they sent great people and I would highly recommend this service for any elder care.

Home Instead has provided excellent care for my 94-year-old mother. Our care coordinator Jeff was able to accommodate our urgent request within 24 hours with nighttime and Daytime care. He matched my mom up with caregivers that were very professional, compassionate and competent. We are extremely grateful for the service that has been provided by Jeff and his care team.
