Mom was sent here following a broken hip. Almost no physical therapy, no walking with the walker, no toileting practice. Just laid in bed all day. Also lost a nice new pair of glasses and a sweater.

Is this place a joke? “We can’t do anything without a doctor’s order” funny thing is that either they “can’t find anything from the doctor from the HOSPITAL” or their doctor ignores you. My husband had a urine catheter. No biggie right? The problem here is that the ONLY time he ‘s to have one in is during surgery for his insides are very, very sensitive to them and it MUST be removed as soon as possible. Hillside left it in for a week. He was hurting so bad from its infection and swelling that it took nearly 20 minutes just to get it out. He was ALWAYS hungry as their food quality and quantity was so poor and small. He constantly advised them that he didn’t care for oatmeal EVERY morning and asked for something else but after numerous times telling them he just gave up. The CNA’s were great but their hands were tied as a CNA can only do so much (a CNA has so little training that just about anyone can do it). PAIN CONTROL is a joke also as the person dispensing same has a brain that’s on vacation. I had my husband beep and he logged this time. The average time it took was 37 minutes. Sometimes it would be hours. Hillside is a joke!

I

Absolutely horrible. My grandmother is a current resident and they do NOT know how to treat her. She had a very urgent and nessecary appointment today that was supposed to be a fasting appointment and they fed her. She now can’t be seen for 2 months due to it. She had a migraine and asked for Tylenol and they told her to drink more water. You guys should be ashamed of yourselves. How dare you treat people like that. As soon as possible my family will be finding a different place for her to go.
