Hillsborough County Nursing Home is a skilled and intermediate care nursing facility located on a scenic hilltop in Goffstown, New Hampshire. The non-profit facility operates 300 beds and is owned and managed by Hillsborough County to serve the short and long-term nursing needs of county residents.
The facility includes specialized units for different care needs: a 24-bed skilled unit providing skilled and sub-acute services, a 19-bed behavioral unit, and a 50-bed Alzheimer's unit for special needs care. HCNH also offers a hospice program under contract that provides specialized services to the terminally ill.
The facility provides a wide range of therapies and activities tailored to the diverse needs of residents. Three of the six nursing units exit directly to ground level. Residents benefit from dining rooms and living room spaces available for visits and gatherings.
Visiting is encouraged and available to all residents without restricted hours, though the facility recommends visiting between 11:00 am and 7:00 pm to support resident safety and care delivery. There is no restriction on the number of visitors, though the facility requests that visits to shared rooms be limited to two visitors at a time when possible, with accommodations available for larger groups in common areas.
Sociable and leashed pets with proof of current rabies vaccination are welcome to visit. Visitors must provide a copy of the pet's vaccination to the receptionist upon arrival.
