I am blind and my husband has the onset of Alzheimer’s. Last spring we went to the Homestead and looked at an apartment. I don’t believe anything was discussed with us clearly before they asked my husband to sign. We gave eight $24,600 check. We found things there to be very inconsistent. With things that were presented to us that would take place. My husband needed to go over into assisted-living for a short time. I know other residents had gone to assisted-living for a short time. Doctor had requested it. And I was told no. Also at one point my husband wasn’t feeling well and wasn’t breathing well and I called for someone to come over and they pretty much talked my husband out I’m going to the hospital. That someone that did not have a health care degree. I also was told at one point by Maintenance that they had 30 cars to brushoff and if they had time they would see if they could help me. The overall experience was very on satisfactory. Now you’re keeping my money. I do not find this to be fair I believe we are going to contact an attorney. I also have talk to administration who is quite abrupt when trying to discuss the matter. I was calm and try to be respectful at one point said to the individual there is no need for us to to raise our voices. If someone on staff would like to come back I would appreciate it
