My relatives live here. I don't know a whole bunch, but I do love the , and see the two bedroom, two bath, with living room and kitchen apartment, with small outdoor deck. There's Independent Living, Assisted Living, and now a NEW wing for Memory Care. Anyways, my pictures include a weekly calendar of meals for the week, that are offered at an additional charge. It's charged by each meal . You can just go down and eat when something looks great, and it's charged to your account. Also I have pictures of 1 of the 2 king size bed, and large, accessible sink and bathroom . These are Guest Suites that relatives or visitors can rent for the night, at about $99, they take checks but not credit cards. I also included older pictures of my relatives unit, the main bedroom, the ensuite bathroom attached to the main bedroom, and their guest bathroom. Heartwood has are several areas of book to borrow, along with two computers, several gorgeous tables to sit at for a puzzle, or a card game, on the second floor. There's also an exercise room, a pastor has an office there, a and there's a conference room for a multitude of talks that are given parties that are thrown, exercise classes are done in that room. There are two cabinets for puzzles that are often changed out and replenished. There's a great walking path sidewalk on the back side of the building.. The entertainment fellow, Shane, is excellent at what he does! I'm actually not sure of what his job title REALLY is , but he is such a lively, kind, generous person, that I've been in contact with many times. Judy, and another woman (I'm sorry I can't remember your/her name) , are the front desk employees and are always so knowledgeable & kind! There is parking underground in the lot, for an additional charge. There's also a large bar area, with full size pool table, the lobby is scattered with cushy chairs and couches and a piano to play music on, along with interspersed comfy chairs for reading around the buildings. There are lots of activities and an activity calendar that is posted by the mailboxes, with fun events such as movie night, trip to the grocery store, trips to various restaurants, cribbage, silver sneakers exercise, bingo, Carnival day. Birthday celebrations are once a month, and they hand out cupcakes or other treats. Oh! There's also a small gift shop, where you can get very reasonably priced candy bars, toothpaste, kleenex, pajamas, glitzy tops for women, great button-down shirts casual for men, kids toys, greeting cards, Dish soap! Everything that you can buy right there so you don't have to cross the street to Super one. If I find more photos, I'll add them to my review! I'm sorry, I don't know the rent here, and it probably varies via studio, one bedroom, two bedroom, two bedroom Plus 10, etcetera.

Visited the newest addition to Heartwood! When you enter the care center you are greeted by welcoming and friendly staff at the front desk. The facility is very clean, nicely decorated and doesn’t stink. I saw residents getting their nails painted by a staff and others getting ready for dinner. All the staff I passed during my visit were smiling and appeared to be happy to be there. The ambiance and the feel seem cozy, safe, and inviting.

Both my Grandparents live here. Our family always stays in Heartwood when we visit. Beautiful place and very friendly people. Everyone goes out of there way to show they care for all the people that live there. Everything is clean and the rooms are nice. I can only hope I'm lucky enough to retire to a place like this. Thank you for taking care of my grandparents.

Heartwood is the best place that my family found for my Gram's who has dementia. She is in Arbor (memory care wing) you have to have a code to get in and out. The staff throughout Heartwood are truly one of a kind. The staff in Arbor are truly gifted and have the patience of saints. Some Dementia patients can get violent and it doesn't even phase the staff. They know their residents like the back of their hands; they know the triggers for each person, they know the battles to pick and the ones they have to walk away from. They don't force them to do anything. I've seen my Gram's go from sweetheart to the incredible hulk in 30 seconds or less. It's not pretty. We thought that the senior community in the Twin Cities we moved my Gram's from was taking great care of her. We would get calls about my Gram's being combative and that there may be bruises. We didn't think anything of it because we had seen her get violent with the staff. We didn't know great care until we moved her to Heartwood. We don't get those calls anymore because the staff knows how to approach and work with her. I recommend Heartwood to anyone looking for a wonderful home for their parents or grandparents. The care is exceptional and one of a kind.
