Harmony House Brainerd

Harmony House of Brainerd is an assisted living community specializing in memory care for people living with advanced memory loss and dementia-related illnesses in Brainerd, Minnesota. The community is operated by Horizon Health, a nonprofit 501(c)(3) organization serving Morrison County and the City of Brainerd.

Each home is designed to meet the special needs of residents with memory loss through structured programming and professional support. Residents participate in personal grooming, meal preparation, household tasks, and daily recreational activities, with professional guidance encouraging social interaction and involvement in daily routines. The community employs a full-time memory illness specialist on staff.

All staff members receive state-required dementia training on an annual basis to better understand residents' needs and communication strategies. The training equips staff with person-centered techniques for managing challenging behaviors, with the goal of creating a fulfilled life for residents and their families.
