We were there for the trick or treat and all of the residents looked happy and dressed in their costumes. My daughter loved it the staff were very nice and welcoming. Cathy the director was very friendly and went out of her way to greet us. Thank you Nordic Woods.

Nothing but good things to say about our experience at Nordic Woods and their staff (especially Cathy). We moved my wife’s father there and he adjusted to assisted living very well and was welcomed with open arms. Highly recommend!

I get to move in to my new place at Nordic woods soon. It's my second experience in moving into an assisted living place. My first wasn't what I wanted personally for my forever home. My daughter looked for almost a year to find just the right place for me. Finally, she found out Nordic Woods was coming in January 2025. She immediately got us scheduled to come take a look. I fell in love! As soon as I walked inside we were hugged and welcomed by Cathy. Then I saw the fireplace and open sitting area. I was shown several rooms until I found MY room. I have two windows and one has a bird feeder outside! I could picture how I wanted my furniture placed. I loved the wooded view and being able to see out the windows as people come in. I went to the open house and met the owners. The Verworn Family was so kind and their kids were talkative and reminded me of my own family. They allowed us to take our time with setting up my room before I even moved in so my first day would be a smooth one. I met with a nurse, to go over my medical side of things. I met staff that will be caring for me and the Chef. They were all welcoming and kind. I also got to play dice with a resident while my daughter moved my things in. I won 3 times! I shared some of my prizes like lotion and Werther's candy with her since she didn't win. They left a personalized welcome basket in my room that made me feel overwhelmed with love. It wasn't about the items inside but, the time, effort, and thoughtfulness behind it. Tears filled my eyes and I knew I was finally home! ❤️

It's never ever easy putting a loved one in a facility for long term care. However, Cathy sure made us feel at home. She welcomed us with open arms and showed us all around. From the beautiful sitting areas with fireplaces, and activities area including a piano. My mom's room has windows that overlook the patio and a bird feeder right outside for her viewing. I couldn't ask for a better fit for my mom. The Nurse, Staff workers and even Chef was so very kind and friendly. I also love the fact that it's max of 20 residents and all on one level it will be easy for her to navigate around. I definitely feel at ease with my mom at Nordic Woods. Thank you for being the change in the lakes area we needed for our loved ones!
