This is the most inhumane place for anything living. Even a healthy person will dwindle rapidly here. I have pics of poop on the hallway floor I had to dodge multiple times with a relatives walker. Most patients walk barefoot down those hallways. I pulled a filthy sock out of a patient’s mouth he was chewing on that he had just pulled off. One can smell the filth when walking in the door. Especially in the special unit for men. A patient was beaten severely three weeks ago while he was asleep in his room. He was beaten by his roommate. Black and blue bruises massively. He was moved across the hall and the same patient came back in his room twice that night attempting again. Then he went out into the hallway and punched another patient in the face. I shared with a nurse that our patient had an infected elbow for two weeks. I took pics for digression to show her. I was escorted out of his room by admin… down the hallway and instructed I was banned from seeing him, being in the facility in the parking lot for HIPPA violation. I showed it to a nurse to care for him!!! They still didn’t address the elbow. Two days later he was in ER with staph. His groan was so infected from not being changed. The ER nurse said it looked like days. This story gets worse… but the sad end… he passed away after they kicked him out for what they say was, assaulting a nurse. He couldn’t even sit straight. Much less attack someone.

1st heartland has a staff from housekeeping to administration that seem to be genuine in their care not a home that houses & forgets teiyre residents & elders stnot ones that care only for the almighty dolla). 2nd the whole staff have a deep routed sence of respect not only for theyre elders but family members as well, not allowing theyre daily lives to reflect nothing less than respect 3rd structure in the facility that is not in any way compromised allowing elder & staff member to work toward a goal to help that elder to return home. You may say that i know a lot of homes like that, I dont & I have been in nursing most of my life, u van tell by 1st impressions & I have recieved a great experience. I want to thank heartland & staff for your compassion & abilitiy to make me feel like an adult. God Bless you all

I will NEVER recommend this facility to anyone. They neglected my mom who was there a short time on hospice with TERMINAL BRAIN CANCER, including but not limited to withholding meds, administering another person RX to her,never bathed her,cut off all of her hair, never changed her clothes or bed linens, misplaced her multiple times, let her leave with unauthorized guests including one we had an order of protection against, broke hippa laws in so many ways. My mom couldn’t even remember what day it was, much less be able to know the time of day to ask for meds. When I complained and reached out to the administration they never returned my phone calls. She passed away shortly after I removed her from there. Then they tried to send me a 14k bill for dates she didn’t even reside there anymore. Unbelievably disrespectful and unprofessional. Beware!

I’m a relative of a past resident that stayed in a 100 hall room. This place is awful. The food they have is terrible and not enough portions for anyone. They serve small bowls of soup and crackers most Sundays. There is a woman on that same hall that has a husband who tracks down everyone to demand his wife get care first over other patients. My relative was left hanging out of their bed several times during the week. They just hired a man cna on weekends that is never around when you need him. Most of the time my family was changing my relatives bed and pull up more than the cnas were!! The administrator here is a jerk and so is the cna supervisor!! Half of the nurses don’t care about anything and only do the minimum. Nobody listens to concerns at all in this place. They have dangerous patients mixed in with ones that aren’t so you never know if your family member is going to be hurt by somebody else here. We have since moved my relative to a better and safer facility because this one is just worried about putting people in beds for money.

I did a tour of this place for the intention of sending my mother in law here for rehab and, potentially, long term care. Seemed like everything we wanted for her, but quickly realized that our perception from the sales pitch, only includes, who they “pick”. The case worker called for approval and this facility turned her down. Then, we called and asked why?? We were told that they didn’t have to tell us why. I think this review says it all!
