We are beyond grateful for Heart of Hospice Lancaster formerly known as Hospice of Lancaster and the Piedmont. The care and compassion that was shown to our granny during her last days was amazing. Alexis was the main nurse that came and she helped our family understand the process and what to expect. She talked so sweetly to granny, humming to her as she attending to her. We also had Baylee, Angel, Morgan and Erica. They all showed us such love and compassion. Marcella our CNA was so gentle and handled granny with such a caring touch, just like it was her own family. Angel helped educate us so much and guiding us on the next steps. We cannot say enough about how wonderful these ladies are. Granny was not treated like just a patient, she was treated like she was their family member. We always got our questions and concerns answered. We are beyond thankful for each and everyone of you. I’m writing this review of behalf of one specific hospice nurse. Her name is Alexis. She was by far the best person that could have been sent to handle the delicate situation we were dealt with in hospice care. She was very kind hearted and had the perfect personality and things to say to comfort my family in this desperate time of need. I hope this company knows how lucky they are to have such a wonderful and amazing nurse on their team.. because she truly was a blessing!

Hospice of Lancaster and the Piedmont was an answer to our prayers. They took Mom on as a client after a bad fall. Even though she lived over an hour away from Lancaster, they never hesitated to come out when called. Morgan came on as Mom’s nurse and I could not have asked for a more caring, knowledgeable and compassionate nurse. When Mom passed, they were right there to help and answer questions. The entire staff puts the patient first and attends to their needs without hesitation. The Executive Director, Kelly Marshall, is top notch!

First let me say I pray you never are in need of Hospice but if you are I pray you would consider Hospice of Lancaster and the Piedmont. Kelly makes it happen as the director she still makes her self available and gets whatever’s needed done. Erica our RN took a personal interest and give all of herself in the care of my mama. She was a friend a comfort and a huge support. Rayvon the Chaplin came and always lifted mamas spirits and had a good upbeat heart and to hear him pray is to hear a man who knows he has Gods ear and commands attention. His prayers move mountains in your heart and make hell tremble. Joy the LPN that visited is one of the most caring I’ve ever seen, and unfortunately I have dealt with Hospice before but never one who give so much to others. To the other nurses and aides and staff I can not thank you enough for all that you did and almost five months later you still reach out to make sure I’m ok. God bless all of you and thank you for your service and care for mama, and for me.

Quite literally THE BEST hospice experience my family could have had. Hospice of Lancaster and the Piedmont went above and beyond in caring for my grandmother. I highly recommend them if your family is in need of hospice care. Kelly coordinated most of the care and we are so thankful for all she did. Erica was the nurse we worked with a lot and she was so kind and caring. Marcella was the best hospice aide- she deserves so much recognition as she did a lot of “grunt” work and was so compassionate through the entire process. Angel was a God-send on the weekends. A special shout out to these individuals who were also part of her care: Brittany, Lydia, and others I am sure I am forgetting. Thank you again, Hospice of Lancaster, and keep up the good work!
