I love Hawthorne Place. I like the layout of our apartment. It isn’t a traditional layout. It has 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. But it has an extra room that we use for a guest room/office. The bedrooms are huge. The kitchen is a good size. There is a huge laundry room and storage room off the laundry room. The owner and management really care. Our balcony looks out on a yard with nice trees. We have an attached garage. We like the location in Pewaukee being near stores, restaurants, and the lake.

Parents lived here 3 years. When we moved them in we replace flat bathroom mirrors with mirrored medicine cabinets for storage and gave the original mirrors to maintenance. We also added a rail shower bar with hand held, as Mother is short. We asked if we should have the shower rail -we installed removed. Maintenance said to leave the shower rail. At Move out inspection Jen raved about what good shape it was in and did not indicate any concerns. Surprised therefore when security deposit withheld $440.00 for shower repair and mirrors. Also disappointed my 2 phone calls to Jen for explanation were never returned. $440 could have covered some medical supplies for parents :(

My Mom had lived here since 2006. She lives in a one BR with den. Her place is almost as big as my house! Lots of amenities such as private patio or balcony, garage, club house for events and since she is on the first floor, everything is on one level, no steps at all. Modern looking place, professional management and maintenance on site. There is a waiting list for ground floor units and I see why!

My parents live here. Office staff is wonderful. Community has events in the common hall including carolers and parties. Apartments are nicely maintained. Grounds are impeccable.
