For the past 2 month, Havenwood has been my Mom and Dad's new home. Each visit reminds my sister's and I how fortunate we feel for choosing Havenwood. But within the first few days, I witnessed how truly amazing the Havenwood team is. My Dad's falling brought my parents to their new home. And within 3 days my Dad fell. Not remembering to push the emergency button in their bathroom, he called me to rush down to help. On a separate phone, we alerted the staff of what had happened. What happened was simply amazing. Still listening on my Dad's phone, I heard the staff jump into action to help with encourgaement, kindness, consideration and humor. Hearing the staff do their jobs so well filled me with confidence and gratitude. My parents are truly receiving the best care possible.

My mother was set to move in Feb 2026 and suddenly Havenwood told us she would not be admitted! When a spot opened, we toured and felt pressure to commit on the spot. We said yes and then my mother put in her notice to vacate at her current facility. We had the assessment and at the end of the meeting everything seemed fine. The Director of Nursing told me she would be in contact with me to get paperwork etc. There was no discussion or indication that my mother would not be admitted. In fact it was the opposite! Then I got a phone call from Director of Nursing and Director of Sales who told me that my mother needs memory care and that she pulled down her pants FIVES TIMES during the assessment! I reminded the Director of Nursing, Sara, that I was present during the entire assessment and not once did my mother pull her pants down - and she would never! In fact, the only time her pants were down was when Sara asked if she could pull them down to look at her bottom. Totally bizarre and a total lie. How could someone make things up about another person even when I was present the entire time?! Whoever moved into the 4th floor ‘Cattail’ layout — you are the chosen one! We were promised the unit, but for whoever/whatever reason, they pulled the rug out from under us! Now we’re stuck trying to find somewhere for my mother to live 😢 so sad. Horrible.

I am really unhappy with this company and the treatment of my mother during her rehabilitation. Almost every time I visited my mother, she claimed she was not receiving proper care. I also regretfully have come across very strange comments made by their staff on public Facebook pages including a nurse manager named Sue Klein who encourages violence in the community. Bring your family somewhere with safe staff that can ensure they are properly cared for with no bias.

I was at Havenwood today visiting my father. I overheard Kristin on a tour with potential residents. She was doing an amazing job describing all the benefits of Havenwood. Every time I see her, she always has a smile on her face. She treats my father with respect and will always bring a smile to his face and make him laugh. I couldn't think of a better place for my father to live.

My Grandpa moved into Havenwood a little over a year ago. The staff has been exceptional in all aspects. They have made it their mission to ensure he is right at home. I am extremely thankful for all Havenwood of Burnsville has done for my Grandpa! Kristin, the sales director, has also been extremely helpful throughout the process. All in all, a great place for your loved one in need.
