This facility allows residents with dementia to live in filth and squalor, allows them to wear the same clothes for weeks at a time, neglects giving residents their medications, allows residents to go prolonged periods of time without essentials like toilet paper. Shameful and disgraceful.

DO NOT COME HERE! i have a friend whose mother is living here in the burnsville “home”. she is on an elderly waiver. she was admitted her because they couldn’t watch her anymore because of her dementia. her daughter had surgery so she was unable to visit for several weeks, when she had came in to her room, she found that toilet was not working (feces was stuck to the side of the toilet), there was no toilet paper, the whole house was covered in trash, dirt, dead bugs, etc. $700 of the thousands is just for them to come and clean weekly! they found out that she was being given her meds from outside the door. we found this out because we found hundreds of pills stashed in different spots. her slat bed frame was broken so half of her bed was on the floor when we came in. they pay over $1500 a month and the state pays thousands more because these people are supposed to “love and care” for some of the must vulnerable people. this is just absolutely disgusting and nothing is being done. clearly none of these things would be happening if her mother was being PROPERLY supervised and cared for. DO NOT COME HERE!

My mother is in this facility and to tell you the truth it's disgusting. Over 4 months ago I took a picture of blood in the elevator and it is still there. They don't vacuum out the rooms. They don't shower the residents when asked and my mother has ran out of her medicine over 10 times. I would not recommend this place at all

I have a family friend who lives within this community and I see that the staff is super sweet. The staff is really dedicated to their residents, my friend is always saying she gets her room cleaned up daily and the housekeepers joke with her all the time and make sure she has everything before they leave her room! I witnessed this today myself! I love that I know she’s cared for as a person and not just a number.

’m giving this place a 3 Star because of the ED Betsy the person in charge. Every time you call her she doesn’t pick up I have left her 38 voicemails never yet I have I received a call back from her. Every time I go there Kim is always very welcoming. Very nice lady mom talks very highly of her. I have met Asia she’s very nice spoken to her a few times she’s always picks up and is very prompt to and willing to help with mom. I really wish every department shared the same energy. When mom first came the admin assistant explained to us that she was new here. She gave us a tour and made us feel very confident that our mother will be in good hands. She went above and beyond to let us meet all the staff and took care of all questions that we had. Thank you Lisa. Last week Asia wasn’t there when I came in to see my mom however another nurse helped carie full of energy and willingness to help. Eric was the original nurse that helped us with getting our mom there he was very pleasant to deal with. Every interaction that my family and I have had at carefree has always been positive. However all these turn overs are not positive. Having a ED that I waited on for hours with a no show is a big Negative. I took my mom to get a haircut with her aide came back still no Betsy. This is not the first time I came here wanting to meet her. What can I say I’m very upset with the kind of care she provides as I walked in I read the board saying person in charge so I’m thinking I should probably meet her for any concerns of mine. She’s never there. Where is she? I’ve asked staff they keep saying she’s coming. Leaving here very frustrated. Btw thanks George for helping us out today
