My father has lived in this home for a year. I call it a home, not a facility, because the people here are cared for with love and devotion. The caregivers work tirelessly to address every individual’s needs. My family and I toured numerous facilities in San Diego. Harborview exceeds all expectations.

Two years ago, we knew it was time to find a locked, memory care facility for our mom, and after visiting 5 or 6 places, the decision was obvious. HarborView in Bankers Hill is by far the best memory care facility in San Diego. From the outside, you would never know it was a place for people with Alzheimer’s. It’s tucked away, beautifully landscaped and tranquil with fountains on the outside. There are times when the planes fly overhead, however, my mom and most residents spend very little time outside so the planes are not a factor. Inside is a beautiful, welcoming home with intricate, hand-crafted woodwork. It’s not institutional-looking in any way. My mom has been there two years now, and we couldn’t be happier with the staff and management. They are the most caring, loving, attentive, family-oriented staff to all the residents. The facility and all the rooms are cleaned daily, the dining room cleaned and mopped after every meal. The beautiful view from the dining room looks out towards the San Diego bay and airport. They have music, exercise, arts and crafts available to those residents able to participate. I know and trust the staff and management with the 24/7 care of my mom. I know she is safe, cared for, and loved. We are so grateful to all of them. As hard as it is watching my mom die of the brutal disease, Alzheimer’s, knowing the staff are there to take care of her and keep her safe and visiting with them and the other residents makes this journey a little less painful. It is truly a family once you enter the doors, and we are so grateful they are here!

Our almost 98 old mom Eva passed away on 8/16/24 and we can' say enough of how the caregivers helped thru the transition process. My mom was there for 27 months and this was her home and it became part of our home. They were a family to her and loved her and we loved the staff for the personalized care and love they showed to Eva and to us. Thank you for all that you did. Harborview Senior Assisted Living exceeded my expectations.<br>After an increasing number of falls and associated hospitalizations, I was no longer able to care for my 91 year old mother at my home. She didn’t want to have to move into an institution and I didn’t want her in one either. However I also didn’t want her in a place so small there wasn’t activities and stimulation. I’m so happy that with the help of a placement guide we found HarborView. It’s a beautiful mansion with manicured gardens set on a hill overlooking the stunning San Diego Bay that has 30 residents, a full staff and daily activities. After moving in we quickly found out that the staff is what really makes this place special. They are loving, attentive, respectful, courteous, caring and fun. There are always lots of smiles, laughter and music to enjoy as well as good food and the highest quality of care. I cannot recommend this place more. HarborView Senior Assisted Living was truly an answer to our prayers. HarborView is a beautiful loving caring home, not an institution. It was the perfect place for my beloved mother’s final days. She has left us now, but she was both blessed and enriched by the love and care she received from their wonderful staff. I, and all of our family, was blessed by them as well. Thank you HarborView.
