DECENT PLACE! Only bad part is the administrator is super toxic to his employees and families. He also is a very small person (i think a male but here in Colorado you never really know lol) so he thinks he needs to appear BIG by firing employees that are far more meaningful than him. Please be careful before sending your loved one here!

Our 5-star rating may not go where you’d expect in a nursing facility. Our review is delayed, as our mom passed away not long ago. With the exception of a couple CNAs, the nursing staff who cared for our mom were extremely disappointing. Call lights went unanswered, phones weren’t picked up, and questions were often ignored. Concerns were frequently deflected to administration. If we had more time, we would have moved our mom because of this. That said, there are people here who truly made a difference. Erika and the entire social work team were outstanding, and the business office was always responsive and helpful. A very special thank you to Kara at the front desk. She consistently went above and beyond for our family, and her dog, Griffin, brought comfort and joy to residents—especially our mom. We’re incredibly grateful for the kindness they both showed. Kara, you truly make Hampden Hills a better place.

My co-worker and I visited Hampden Hills Post Acute today to meet with one of our patients. As we waited in line for the receptionist (name tag said Kara) we couldn’t help but notice how busy the lobby was and how well Kara handled herself. We realized quickly she was training someone, answering calls on two phones, helping someone with money, another who was upset, and all while directing visitors to their destinations. We were next to be helped when a woman, who appeared to live there, came to Kara visibly upset and crying. Kara stopped everything, kindly asked us for a moment, and walked to the woman. She took her hand and asked her to breathe with her. She managed to calm the woman down quickly and calmly as she then explained how she would help her find an item she misplaced. We visit many facilities and it is rare to hear “hello”. How refreshing Hampden Hills Post Acute was for us today.

We visit our grandmother and can see how happy she is at Hampden Hills. We all absolutely love Kara at the front desk! She clearly loves the people who live there and cares about their families. When we visit, she is always busy helping so many people but never shows frustration. She is always welcoming and so kind. We appreciate you, Kara!

My Father was a resident at Hampden Hills for 8 months until he passed on September 28th. During this time I was fortunate to meet some wonderful and dedicated Employees of Hampden Hills. Kara at the front desk was absolutely amazing. She always greeted me with a warm smile and we had many great conversations. She deeply cares about the patients and their visitors. The nurses who helped take care of my Father we're very caring. These nurses Included Addis, Precious, Jiro, Roman, and many others. Also, a special shout out to the ladies In the laundry who kept my Fathers Clothes clean including Merriam, Willy Christina and Kady. Isabel and Jessica and Jennifer in the business office we're also very helpful. I am truly grateful for all the wonderful employees I met at Hampden Hills!
