My mom has been here for 2 weeks and she has received good care. The meals are very good and they give the patients enough. I've seen housekeeping cleaning floors, surfaces and bathrooms all throughout the day. The only thing I would encourage is to have more staff available on weekends. The PT and OT staff are friendly and knowledgeable. Overall it's a good place for rehab.

I was hesitant about coming to a skilled nursing facility but once I got situated and Monday rolled around things turned out better than I expected. I want to especially thank the following Nursing staff for going above and beyond the scope of their job duties. LaWanda (DON) I was sitting in the hallway when she passed by and gave me one of the brightest smiles that could light up a room. She asked how I was doing and I said doing OK. She didn't know that I was feeling down at that precise moment. She made my day much better. Pam (ADON) What a joy to be around. She has made my stay here the best that I could hope for. And you can't forget those working with us in Physical Therapy (Clyde, Reah, Winnston,) if I left anyone out it was not intentional.

I can’t say enough great things about Haines City Nursing and Rehab! The nursing staff is truly exceptional attentive, compassionate, and always willing to go the extra mile. The rehab team is amazing and works so hard to help residents regain their strength and independence. The food is great, the customer service is top-notch, and the activities keep residents engaged and involved every day. The facility is always clean, welcoming, and well-maintained. A special shoutout to the social worker who goes above and beyond for her residents her dedication, kindness, and support truly make a difference. I highly recommend Haines City Nursing and Rehab to anyone looking for quality care for their loved one!

Very clean facility and phenomenal physical therapy!!! My dad has been here since Jan 22nd and we're very calm and happy with all the attention and care he's been given by the nurses and staff.. Food is quite delicious and the patient can switch to other choices if the main plate is not to their liking, which is a great idea and option. Once more their physical therapy area and employees are phenomenal.

This facility needs a BIG cleaning and I'm not just speaking about the walls and floors. But the staff too. Sure they smile to the face of family members to the patients in their care, but I understand that the majority of staff are not very nice to the patients when no one is looking. The patients here are predominantly elderly, either suffering from Alzheimer's or Dementia, or suffering from injuries due to falls and that can lead to complications and difficulties. I'm not saying staff cannot have bad days or cannot be human and have something get under their skin. Staffing at these facilities however need to be held at a higher standard for the care of patients. Empathy needs to be #1. I assisted in the cleaniing and changing of adult diapers and bedding for my family member. The staff member that was handing out medications informed the other worker tasked to do the cleaning and changing, that my family member is difficult and flails around when moving them. As I assisted in the changing of bedding and all, I could see why they "flailed around". It was because as the changing was being done, the staff was going entirely too fast. Pulling and moving them around quickly. My family member was concerned about falling during the process. I'm not a CNA and I have zero knowledge on the ins and outs of the proper ways to change patients bedding, diapers or clothes, but I could see this WAS NOT acceptable. All I had to do was talk gently to them and explain that it was all ok. On a separate visit, my sibling was visiting during another cleaning session. The employee accidentally dropped the cloth they were using to clean our family member, set it on the bed, and continued to do other tasks, before reaching to use this same rag that was on the floor to clean our family member. My sibling noticed and requested to stop and use a new rag. Patients are being left in just diapers and tshirts instead of being fully clothed. We could see that in other rooms as we passed as well as our family member. The physical therapy sessions are not being held in the actual room designed for it, but rather having them perform therapy sessions in their beds. My family member is in their 90s and was able to walk when they arrived at the facility. Instead of actually helping them heal from their fall and getting them back on their feet, they let them rot in their bed and was unable to walk. We pulled my family member after over a year of "care" here. After being in a new facility for a short period of time and proper PT, they are already able to stand freely and move themselves to and from their bed and chair. My family member was prescribed depression medicine while at the Haines City location. It's funny that they do not require those same meds at this new facility! Seems to me like the staff want to dope up their patients to make them easier to deal with! When your family member says something is wrong, believe them! Ask the other patients that share the room with your family member! We only wish we had listened and lived closer to them to see the situation they were in more clearly.
