Please do your research before bringing a loved one here.<br><br>As soon as we walked in the building, the smell was overwhelming. It smelled strongly of diarrhea and the facility appeared extremely unclean. Even more concerning, when we arrived nobody seemed to know my mother was being transferred there. Her own medical transport team even told us we should start looking for another facility immediately.<br><br>When we saw the room prepared for her, we were horrified. It was visibly dirty and there were leftover bodily fluids that had clearly not been cleaned. Walking through the halls only made things worse. There was blood on the walls, used needles left out, and garbage scattered around.<br><br>In one of the common areas there were trays of partially eaten food left sitting out, and to our shock we saw a cockroach in the corner. It was extremely upsetting to witness conditions like this, especially knowing vulnerable patients are living there.<br><br>I will say that one of the main nurses helping with check-in was very kind and understanding when we told her we would not be leaving my mother there. She was compassionate and handled the situation professionally.<br><br>Overall, I left feeling horrified and heartbroken for the residents who have to stay there. Please take a look at the photos we were able to quickly take. Families deserve to know what conditions look like before trusting a facility with their loved ones.
