I wish I could leave a more positive review, but I can only speak to my personal experience and the facts as I know them. At the time of writing this review, Griswold Home Care owes me $231 in unpaid compensation. Unfortunately, this is not the first time I have had to repeatedly follow up regarding money owed to me, but it will be the last. More than two months have passed without payment, and I have not received a courtesy call, meaningful update, or satisfactory resolution regarding the outstanding balance. My experience with the office staff has also been disappointing. When Rachel was part of the team in 2021, there was a noticeable level of professionalism, compassion, and appreciation for caregivers. Since then, there appears to have been significant staff turnover, and my interactions with the office have felt increasingly unprofessional and dismissive toward contractors. One of the most concerning issues has been the lack of transparency when disputes or conflicts arise. In my experience, communication between the office, clients, and caregivers has not always been consistent. Rather than facilitating productive conversations and working toward a fair resolution, information has sometimes been presented differently to different parties, creating confusion and making it difficult to resolve concerns effectively. I am also aware of at least three other caregivers, all independent business owners, who have experienced similar payment issues. We have discussed our experiences on multiple occasions and have encountered the same pattern: delayed payments, unanswered calls, limited communication, and a tendency to place responsibility back on the caregiver when compensation has not been received. No contractor should have to repeatedly pursue payment for services that have already been provided. It is important to remember that caregivers working through these contracts are not employees. We are independent contractors operating our own businesses. We are responsible for our own taxes, transportation, insurance, supplies, and other business-related expenses. Every hour worked represents both a financial investment and a personal commitment to the clients we serve. Many caregivers generously volunteer their time within their communities, but contracted work is not volunteer work. When services have been provided, payment should be made according to the agreement. Delayed or unpaid compensation not only creates financial hardship, but also represents valuable time and effort that can never be recovered. Caregivers are the backbone of this industry. We show up for clients during some of the most challenging moments of their lives, and we deserve professionalism, respect, clear communication, and timely compensation in return. I am sharing this review to provide an honest account of my experience and to encourage greater accountability, transparency, communication, and respect for the caregivers whose dedication helps make these services possible.

I am an Occupational Therapist in the Charleston area and have worked directly with patients who are utilizing Griswold's caregiving services and have had nothing but good experiences with both caregivers and upper management at Griswold (specifically Nikki who is just delightful and approachable). Would highly recommend them if you or a loved one is in need of services!

First time contacting this agency. Josh was very friendly and helpful. I requested if he could send me an email to obtain more details about the process for starting a new application. I appreciate his willingness because I have a brain disability. Looking forward to doing business with your agency. God bless you for your kindness and compassion. I did have to disclose my condition to Josh. It was a plus because I am above frustration with the medical system the doctors and nurses and staff have lost their compassion and humanity. It’s more about numbers and revenue for the big companies investors that just care for the billions of dollars we are helping them to achieve. Unfortunately. Thank you!

I work for a local hospice, and I have worked with Griswold on a regular basis for years. I continue to be impressed with the way that this office operates. The T’s are always crossed and the I’s are always dotted, and the attention to detail is consistent. I have known Francis for years and she truly puts her whole heart into making sure that the clients who use their services, are well taken care of and that staff is trained to be the best of the best! She always makes sure that each client’s needs and concerns are specifically addressed and always in a timely manner. The staff in this office go above and beyond to provide the clients with a personalized experience that caters to their individual needs and circumstances. Nikki does a fantastic job managing everything in the office and making sure that staff are trained to provide excellent service. Polly, Taylor, and Lisa are all very detail oriented at their jobs and so great to work with. I highly recommend Griswold to anyone who needs sitter services!!!

I cannot express enough how wonderful Francis Johnson has been in helping clients receive the care they truly need. From the very first interaction, Francis demonstrated a genuine commitment to understanding our unique situation and tailoring the support accordingly. Her compassion and expertise shine through in every conversation. She goes above and beyond to ensure that clients feel heard and valued, guiding us through the entire process with patience and clarity. Thanks to Francis, my clients feel empowered and confident in making informed choices about their care options. If you're looking for someone who truly cares about their clients and works diligently to advocate for their needs, look no further than Francis Johnson. Highly recommend!
