The worst hospital in the Chicago area. People left sitting in the ER waiting room, crying, screaming in pain, for hours on end.

WORST HOSPITAL EVER!!! The ER staff were incredibly rude, showed no compassion, and seemed completely miserable. My mom was brought in by ambulance experiencing vomiting, dry heaving, dizziness, and pain on her left side. After only briefly assessing her, they rolled her from the back ER area into the waiting room in a wheelchair and left her there for 6 hours. Patients are left sitting in uncomfortable wheelchairs with little concern for how sick they are. After waiting that long, we simply couldn’t take it anymore and decided to leave. We went to Advocate Lutheran General Hospital instead, where she was finally treated like a human being — with care, compassion, and respect. It was a complete night-and-day difference compared to this hospital.

Thank you very much to the entire ER team (the ambulance crew, hospital staff, assistants, CT technician, and Dr. C) for taking such good care of my mom on Friday, May 5, 2026.

Honestly, I was incredibly disappointed. My wife was having heart palpitations and instead of helping her as her heart rate was high we had to wait 8 hours. Having any heart issues should be treated with the upmost importance and thankfully my wife is ok but she could have been better if some empathy and ethics was in order to assist her when she was struggling. Absolutely ridiculous and the worst part is the staff at some point lost count of patients and forgot about half that were in the lobby. The point of hospital is to help the sick but clearly that isn’t the main focus.
