I was hesitant at first but Good Samaritan quickly won me over. They provided care at a moment’s notice and were incredibly hospitable even though they knew it was potentially for a short time. They navigated all aspects of provided immediate care, planning for long term care, and communicating to me to ensure I was never left in the dark. Hats off to them all. They deserve five stars easily.

My brother is in the Transitional Care Unit at Good Samaritan in Stillwater, and might stay for long term care. We are so pleased with all the services being provided by the staff. As humans we are all dependent upon the kindness of those around this. This is never more true than when we are dependent upon them for our daily needs. It can be hard to ask for help. An impatient sigh, or irritated look can devastate us. But the staff at Good Samaritan are always kind, supportive, and affirming. The staff have become a family to my brother. When my brother and I are talking on the phone, and someone walks into his room, I hear how his voice perks up. A friend just walked in. And I also hear the friendliness and familiarity in their voices as they chat. This is the most important quality of any care facility. The folksy friendliness of the staff have made the “nursing home” into a home for my brother. In addition, we are so grateful for the professional services my brother receives. It’s hard to imagine, but some facilities drop important medical treatments, through ineffective administration or understaffing. Before coming to Good Samaritan, I felt the need to watch closely when he was in other facilities. And good that I did. There have been a number of occasions when his needs were left unaddressed, in spite of the doctor’s orders. I always felt the need to be always watching, always advocating. But after just a few days at Stillwater, I realized this was no longer necessary. The professional service providers were completely trustworthy. This has been a tremendous gift to me, not to mention my brother and his medical needs. We are so grateful for his PT/OT therapists, the work of the Medical staff, and the help of the social worker who has found him additional support services. Coming to Good Samaritan is the best thing that could have happened for my brother. We are so grateful he has found a home, surrounded by people who honestly care for his well-being.

My dad has lived at Good Samaritan since November 2021. He has received very good care from the nurses and support staff. He has a nice room with plenty of natural light.

My wife has been diagnosed with a neuromuscular disease. After she ha a fall we decided to transitional care at Good Samaritan. It was a wise decision. All the staff were very good especially the therapists, nurses and aides. They helped to get us to a point where we're back at home and comfortable feeling safe.

My Mother is a resident at Good Samaritan in Stillwater since December 2023, and was in short term care following a surgery. We are very pleased with her living situation and the care she receives. I can't say enough about how loving and caring the staff has been to my mom. Even though this was a big transition for my mom, she is very happy at Good Samaritan Stillwater. She loves her spacious room, where she was able to hold on to her treasured things, There are always activities for the residents and my Mom has made so many new friends. I highly recommend Good Samaritan Stillwater!!
