My Dad was here for a short time less then a month - we had to call the EMTs vs staff doing the job. He ended up in the hospital and than hospice. While meal time they would not allow us to eat with the family member. Yet we paid for the services. I would not recommend this place

I have only good things to say about Good Life Senior Living in Hugo, MN. We moved our mother here from a different assisted living facility in Vadnais Heights. At the previous place, we were told, “We check on your mother all the time.” We had a camera in her room, and unfortunately this was not true. She fell twice and remained on the floor for more than eight hours each time without anyone checking on her.<br><br>At Good Life, Mom was checked on every 2–3 hours, consistently and reliably. Assisted living facilities in Minnesota are required to complete and maintain a document called the Uniform Disclosure of Assisted Living Services and Amenities (UDALSA). I strongly encourage families to compare what a facility says they do with what they have actually filed with the state.<br><br>Mike White, Executive Director, and Desiree Dait, RN and Director of Nursing, are present at Good Life on a regular basis. You will see them, talk to them, and know they are involved—not tucked away behind locked office doors like we experienced elsewhere. Good Life maintains a strong resident-to-staff ratio, and your loved one can remain there through end-of-life care without needing to transfer to a nursing home.<br><br>Nothing is perfect, and it took me six years to learn that you don’t need to settle for substandard care. All senior facilities are not created equal. Do your homework: visit multiple locations, ask questions, compare UDALSA forms, and even request a lunch so you can see the quality of the food.<br><br>If you’re reading this, you are one step closer to finding a safe, supportive place for your loved one. The more information you have, the better your decision will be.<br><br>Thank you, Good Life, for being our chosen facility. After Mom passed, you continued to support our family during an incredibly stressful time, and we are deeply grateful.

Good Life Sr Living Center is a wonderful place for your loved one. The facility is clean and feels like home. There are lots of activities for the residents and the staff is very respectful, caring and attentive. I would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a quality place for their loved one!

Good Life Senior Living has been a wonderful place. The staff is caring, attentive, and always treats residents with respect. The facility is clean, comfortable, and has a true home-like feel. We appreciate the engaging activities and how well they communicate with families. I highly recommend it to anyone looking for quality senior care.
